EDIT: also iirc, kang wasn't 100% for that fight. he was sick or injured. belcher looked pretty bad until the sudden submission, but that was over 4 years ago. he has improved quite a bit since then.

Machida would make Sonnen look like an amateur. He has way too good foot work and TDD to get constantly taken down by Sonnen. Machidas strike precision and timing, which imo might even be better than Andersons, would pick apart Sonnen. We saw what happened when Bader tried to rush him.

I don't think we can really compare sonnen/bader... Sonnen is on a different level when it comes to mma wrestling.

Matchup sounds about right. Schaub should be the favorite, but if Mitrione comes out as a big underdog, I might play him.

I think Schaub is going to takedown Mitrione and control him there, basically do what he did to Johnson. If he decides to stand up though, his chances will diminish quite quickly as Mittrione has the heavier hands and better chin.

That's a fight I'd love to see (actually, Sonnen vs any named opponent would be awesome at LHW) but for once I don't agree with you.

Obviously Machida is all about the counter attack but I can't recall anyone ever being in his face non stop where Machida had to actually do something about it quickly and I don't think the Machida that showed up against Henderson would be able to pull that off. That as a co-main event would be so awesome though.
