Danzig candy looked impressive yesterday. Think he has to be top 3 now in favs for kd. He set pretty quick fractions and never really tired at end. Think derby is setting up for duel between him and nyquist. Mohaynen picks up the lead on the straight and says see you later. Smokey image was unimpressive. Thought he would fare better but the class jump was too much.

JK not sure what to make of DC yet and i think more so because this years preps have been about the race names like The Risen Star,The Wood,etc because the star power seems to be the race and not who is in it and makes us realize how special a year last was for talent.

It is because this thread is mostly all american horse racing. Enjoy your 4 days over here it feels like that every 4 days Thur-Sun.

I have a horse betting account where I can bet on 5-6 tracks - UK & Irish races- 7 days a week but what I really don’t like to see are these races at 2-3 miles over soft turf where, by the end, the field is strung out over a ¼ mile or more and there’s always 2 or 3 or more horses that have fallen down and lost their jockey trying the hurdles late in the race.

I don’t agree with all of that and it looks like the horses are being punished in these very long races. It may be tradition in UK & Ireland but as a racing fan I just don’t see the point of dragging out a race to where horses and jockeys are getting hurt and it doesn’t even look like a horse race anymore.

Just listened to a podcast and if you are interested in tourney play and getting started it is one of the best interviews with straight forward talk from Kev and i will let him post the link to it here if he likes but the man was talking in tongues for tournament players and a great head start for you.

Couple questions i have from it i guess is about the H2H and how reliant you are on this or is it like we spoke years back about using a HUD on Tilt? I mean does it hamper you from having a feel and playing so rigid or has that rigidness with varying values to each horse each race allow enough flexibility?

16:15 mark there about staying away from top players if they have your number where i am always in the few i do play these are the people i do look to measure myself against and alot of times the only determining factor to why i entered it. Use to get my azz kicked golfing and knew the competition was going to be the same so i either got better or went broke...which brings me to right about 30:40 mark of interview.

Dave asked about those top names and how you can see the picks etc in lockdown style which is to me very important and what i have done and described here best i could sometimes is i do not pay attention to the live type events because a lot of play is determined by leaderboard but in a lockdown i iike to see how these guys think and you can by seeing their picks after like you said the 1st race. Looking at the path they thought would take them to success and the path that was successful by the winner is what i like to see and gives me more of an insight in that players thinking and style of play. Now you can buy a book and read how a guy tells you they are going to play and trust that if you want but i prefer to see it in actuality.
