Had a good day yesterday at the great race place. Hit the pick5, early pick4, & late pick4.. Pick5 paid $810 & i never had a horse pay more than $9 to win in the sequence... Then in the late p4, i had 2 faves win & still got back $1,409 for the .50c

Pdiggz hit it on the head w/GP. I notice this a ton in tournament play when they are a race behind everyday. The herding to me anyways I see done more in ny or fl by the jocks or they at least do it more successful I see the so cal jocks overact and go whip happy to one side like they are trying to correct the horses error of drifting when it was too obv the jock was herding.

ATS very nice day. Spent yesterday laughing at myself at 4:30 because at that time I remembered hey you forget your showvivor pick today, and yet again its how I go out in this contest Went out to car today I thought I heard on the radio they cancelled tomorrow but they meant its the day after tomorrow, holy cow man. 18 inches I believe and so I can keep my redneck card I have the broom and dustpan giving it hell removing the snow (just need to snap a picture of yourself doing this or something like it along with 2 proof of purchases of porkrinds or 2 walmart receipts so it couldn't be easier to join if interested).

So almost snowed in here and I might not of noticed had it happened between Wednesday and sunday but why not have it on the dark days to enjoy more. I have a stallone/parton duet dvd I somehow over looked in the 80's and by looking at the previews this is going to be so money. See everyone Wednesday...51 he says

I think today is a really good day to play turf paradise boys..... There will only be 2 tracks running all aftrn. Sunland & Turf Paradise. When all of North America has only 1 track to bet, its bound to make the pools exponentially larger than what we have come to expect from a tuesday card at turf paradise. Fwiw

Also, is any1 hip to the "V75" wager thats a .10c pick7 in Sweden on the trotters??? Apparently its every saturday The betting windows open up for it on wednesdays & close saturday morns @8:30am. So far, i can only find Twinspires & Xpressbet that are offering the play.
The reason i ask is, the pool is a gtd 10million every week. They pay 40% of the pool to 7 of 7 winners, 20% to people with 6 of 7 winners, & 40% to those that have 5 of 7 winners. The V75 wager is being offered in 4 continents NA,EU,Aus,& Africa. Im intrigued

This year's showvivor you are never truly "out". There's a whole new scoring system.

Get em Honcho!

Holy Cow a Kevroc post nice to see you my friend. The hell with showvivor I either forget it or it will be my white whale and there is enough stuff to drive me nuts or more I have not even went to SA website since think it was last Sunday. GL to all alive in it.

The person I read on DRF is Peter Thomas Fornatale I mentioned him as fornatale in an earlier post my bad be like someone spelling Honcho w/ a small h Seems like a stand up guy and has a book coming out it looks on tournament play for those itt into that.

Caught a woman mma fight a couple weeks back and it was pretty darn good and I think I fell in love. Ronda "Rowdy" Rousey goooood lord sweetheart got to think an armbar is worth it if she wraps her legs around me like that. Heck keep the arm I got another, maybe I would get a chance again She's a bad gal.

Catching replays and nfl now hope to compete tomorrow and get a play or 2 up.

I'm in Argentina right now, but unfortunately not in Buenos Aires so I don't get to see some of the races down there. Haven't been able to stay on top of the daily happenings, but I watch from afar

Last 2 January's have just kicked me in the balls. Just want to start out the year up a couple bucks, but no, everything that could possibly go wrong, does, and immediately stuck a big number. haha. I mean give me the ol screwgie in June or something, I'd be ok with that. If there's any silver lining its that this January hasn't been nearly as bad as last (...well, yet...)

I attended the races at Gulfstream Park this past Saturday. Mucho Macho Man was an awesome sight. In an interview Kathy Ritvo said she thought he got taller. I was standing near the walking ring and horses 1, 2, 3 came into the ring, then MMM walked in and he looked HUGE! The crowd was decent enough, but it was still very easy to get a spot along the rail to watch him come down the stretch (it helps being 6'2").

Loud cheers from the crowd got me to thinking about what the glory days of horse racing must have been like. Do people today even realize what a bargain they are missing. Free parking and free admission to spend the afternoon in a clean, top notch facility with great racing. The kids there that day all seemed to love it.

I also thought it was cool that show betting was allowed on this race. Once it was over nearly $1 million was bet in the show pool I believe.

Kev I missed both horses hit both teams believe I had the #7 at Aqueduct and the #4 at Gulfstream prefer your thinking but I thought it is how it would finish I hit a horse the bet pays for itself and best case I split with a lot of people but I went the other way

Triple that must of been pretty cool no doubt and I saw the same interview and was very impressed by the horses performance. KR seems like a quality woman and trainer. I like yourself was very happy about the show wagering available as well because that was by far the easiest 3x rollover bonus cleared for me ever.

Been learning a lot on tourney play and while I had no success today I believe I made much progress in what I am trying to do. I love the TS conditional wagering option for busy days, tourney days etc,but hate when I am jumping back and forth between tracks and forget to add it to one of my 2 entries today(not good by me) in the tourney and it hit at 24-1 which yes small hit on tote play had it set at 15-1 but would of preferred it had been a cap horse for me. I do not play bigger tourneys often but I often tail the top players and see their style in play. GL to all itt.

Honcho,

I forgot to add that I hit the pick-5 which had a nice carryover and was really a pick-4 with MMM involved. It payed really well. $2,600+ for a buck.

Hey B3 I looked for it online but could not find it anywhere I don't watch television either so that makes it tough. Watched a trailer on youtube of it and know or compete against all of the main people. Kev may have more insider info on the show because he is more social than myself but it was cool to see its just not me that acts like that during a horse race. Nice to see they are showing this side of the game as well. For myself I have to play both the tote side to afford myself the tourney side but that is changing soon. Looking forward to a big week

I watched the new show on Esquire last nite..... Mixed emotions... I think there is way more good than negative, but having what is suppose to be 1 of the games greatest minds in Christian Hellmers doing witchcraft before a race or sprinkling fairy dust on his racing form is a bit LOL.... The Rotunda family or however u spell it, was a bit degen imho. I mean, what kind of major horseplayer does his capping, & then gives his selections to another player to formulate a ticket & to decide how it should be played? (i know a syndicate works like this), but when was the last time Pete Rose ever wanted some1 to bat for him, or when was the last time MJ wanted some1 else to take the last shot?? NEVER!!!
Any show on (semi) mainstream television about betting the ponies is a huge plus to us die-hards. Im hoping this show will create a boom... Sorta like Poker After Dark & The Big Game did for poker. I noticed Xpressbet, & TwinSpires both were running adverts during every commercial break, the same way Full Tilt & PS did. The more "fish" we bring into the game the more dead money we bring into it & thats a positive for all of us.
Hey Trip H, congrats on ur P5 bud!!! Be honest now, were you absolutely sweating bullets in the last race when Bravo claimed foul & the Inquiry sign popped up?
Seems like "Star Chanel" was the key to that p5. "Bad Debt" was lots of folks single & I myself think he's losing his power punch. He was only 1 for 11 in 2013 & struggled to find that extra gear he had in late 2012. So when Rosario took the call, it made it that much more valuable to play against. Outa curiosity, did u single twice? MMM & RioBobo, or MMM & Star Channel?

A show on the Esquire Network is never going to create a boom. I personally thought the show was horrible and if I was a non horseplayer it would move me even further away from the game.

- Whoever was going to be involved with this show (bettors/teams of bettors) should have all been in the same location during the recording of a race day, given the same bankroll to start with, do the same as the season goes on and calculate the bankrolls at the end. Not blaming the bettors/teams but I think the writers/producers could have come up with a better concept.

- It seems like they are going to be introducing new personalities as the season goes on which makes even less sense to me. As horseplayers we all know everyday isn't a winning day. It would of been good to stick with the same group of people every episode to show the ups and downs but it also gives everyone a chance to see that some people actually do turn a nice profit over an extended period of time.

- I don't understand why they would follow Christian Hellmers at the Breeders Cup Challenge and two groups of people on Cigar Mile day. It's not like they are on the same day and the strategy of betting is completely different. Pick one or the other. Should have made it either a contest based show or a cash based show. Just like poker...Tournaments and cash could not be more different.

- The on screen personalities that were picked are horrible. Hellmers is a wack job that no one can relate to. When he made the comment at the end of the show..."To be able to earn over $150K on my brain alone...that's pretty awesome", made me sick. Yea buddy your brain alone helped you come in second in a contest... This isn't chess. I'm pretty sure the trainers, jockeys and most importantly horses had something to do with it as well.

- Conte's interaction with the waitresses was extremely awkward. I don't want to see a shorter/fatter version of Gene Simmons hit on girls at a restaurant. Hes on this show for a reason... That certainly isn't one of them.

- The diner scene with the Rotondo's was horrible. In one scene they are telling the world how they can win 100K on the Pk6 and then the next they are trying to stay alive with Unlimited Budget who was even money in the Demoiselle followed up by them getting knocked out of the pick 6 because they singled another even money favorite who lost in the Cigar Mile (Groupie Doll). That is some recipe for a 100K score. Then Rotondo Sr is screaming I think he got it... I think he got it... Did he not realize Groupie Doll was a female?

-the fact that these races took place 14 months ago is a turnoff as well. Why not film during 2013? It certainly wouldn't have taken 2 months to edit and be ready to air last night.

-Conte doing 3 horse exacta boxes... Is he serious? Exacta boxes with 2 horses are one of the worst bets in all of racing and he is doing 3 horse exact boxes

Overall very disappointed.

Thanks for the congrats,

If I tried to tell my best friends about my hit they would ask "now what is a pick-5 again?" I hit the bet for .50 twice. On one ticket I singled Ullapool and MMM. On the other ticket I singled Ullapool, Star Channel and MMM. Hit it soooo cheaply. And afterwards yes I did think for a minute damnnnn Ribo Bobo...I could be rich. I was worried about a speed duel in that race and covered several stalker/closers (at Gulfstream Park I know right). lol

In the last race when I heard objection rather than inquiry I just refused to even consider they would take him down. I was like Trotter. "It's too late in the day. It is getting dark. There is no way they can take him down. They don't have time. I am on vacation." I need to figure why I hit signers while on vacation?

Btw the teller was like "if you don't have an account here we need to bring down a manager." They guy has me write down my SS# and then recite it to the teller while he looked at the paper, then gave his okay. What kind of nonsense is that?

I had a great time at Gulfstream Park. Maybe will post a few pics.

Good luck all, HHH.

Makes me glad again I do not watch television.

Triple I did not miss your 2500 hit just wanted to make sure you KNEW you were not at the harness track, asking about Saratoga and now Gulfstream and now taking money from the regular t-bred players THANKS You said something that is true to me as well and funny. I played the only qualifier they had left to the TS Online Championship next day was the main event, well my son started bs'ing with me I forget I am in a live tourney I remember with 3 min to post tell the boy hold on I need to see this race, saw a horse that looked the part I needed a cap horse at some point to advance so took my swing there and hit it wire to a desperate wire finish very exciting to say the least...son watching it with me im obv excited he says cool I am heading over to a girls place have fun...he's my best friend also and no interest in the old mans racing.

Ahahaha. I like playing t-breds on the big, soft days with big $$$ pools. My degen days are over like betting $20 exacta keys at Freehold Raceway that pay $6.20 for $2. Or spending $60 to hit a pick-4 that pays $36.

You just can't beat being there and seeing the flesh in the walking ring.
