"Real job" lunch was a killer for me once I got a desk job. First company had a good cafeteria where a chef/cook/whatever would make stuff to order. Pretty reasonably priced (though we still had to pay, not like these tech companies now).

Subsequent jobs had lots of fast food and/or strip mall fare readily available. Fast food Chinese has to be the worst, although every time I log Costco pizza I laugh. Used to have two of those things pretty regularly.

Ironically fast food is great for losing weight! For me it has been anyway. I've mentioned it in this thread before but I never used to touch the stuff until this most recent weight loss push.

More likely to be WYSIWYG in terms of the calories in the database, that's for sure. I'll still get In-N-Out about once a week. (2 regular In-N-Out hamburgers = 1 regular Carl's Western Bacon)

When I lived in Mountain View, I saw someone going through the In-n-Out drive through on 101/Rengstorff in a cab. Sometimes you gotta get your fix!

I have seen them! But I would feel guilty not bringing euro some but it would get cold by then. The temptation has been strong though.

You guys got a shot here. I'm in Boston for the weekend and there will be food and drink. I only had 2 beers last night though, and actually only went 100 calories over my daily budget. Tonight I'm trying a new burger joint (Bobby's Burger Palace), and then tonight going to a "food and wine fest". Tomorrow hitting this place for brunch www.imwithmeat.com

That's ok, I was jealous of your taco bell TR in the FF thread

had this for dinner tonight, highly recommend:

7oz Salmon
1 can green beans
1/4 cup soy sauce reduced sodium
1.5 TBSP honey
1 TBSP garlic powder
Red pepper flake to taste
1 TBSP EVOO
Zest of small orange

In a pan, EVOO over medium highish and put in salt and peppered salmon. Let that bitch get a nice crust before you touch it, takes a good 5-7 minutes probably. Im mostly cooking it on one side before the flip.

Meanwhile, take a small pan and get the grean beans warmed up. While this is going, combine the soy, honey, garlic powder, zest, and some red pepper flake. Be sure to whisk thoroughly so honey is dissolved. Remove warmed green beans and put the soy mixture in a pan. Bring this to a boil for a couple minutes to reduce, then turn all the way down to lowest setting.

As the sauce cools it will thicken. I throw my green beans back in for a quick toss, then pluck them out with tongs. Spoon some of the remaining sauce over the salmon once your done. Comes in at just over 600 calories (611).

Yum.

In the past 4 months I've put on ~10 pounds after taking the year and a half before that to drop 150+. I was in an accident last November that herniated my c4, c5, and c6 discs. They're still hurt and likely on the way to surgery in the late spring/early summer. When I got in my accident I had to suspend my gym membership for 3 months and today it came back. I'm about to head there and do some very very light workout (no weights). I'm 304 and hope to get to 290 by June 1st.

Injury doesn't make exercise "harder", just "more challenging".
