Why are people shying away from the obvious?

Black people are stupid.
Mexicans come here to paint houses and mow lawns.
Asians that come to usa#1 make sure their kids do well.

Because that's not something otherwise normal and pleasant people reluctantly believe, it's something miserable country bumpkins enthusiastically believe.

The Irish are heavy drinkers. The Italians all have mob connections. Women are lousy at directions. White men can't dance. Or jump, either. Blondes are dumb.

The meaning here is the same, although it excludes the idea that believing a stereotype makes a person unpleasant. Clearly different groups have different characteristics, so the idea that some stereotypes aren't real is absurd. Only self-righteous fools or cowards will say otherwise.

Comon, Hugh Grant wouldn't be nearly so adorable without the adverbs. Never change Rasta.

Some of these stereotypes are dependent on local culture, some seem to be universal. Pretty much everybody in the US and Europe thinks black people are fast. Pretty much everybody in the world thinks Jews run the banking system and Chinese work harder than everyone else. In Spain everyone, even leftist anti-racist communist occupying houses types, thinks the British are arrogant pasty-faced drunks who can't cook and gypsies are thieves. In the Jewish community everyone know that people who speak German (the swiss and austrians in particular) and the French (who would speak German if it were not for the US) are secretly nazis. In the US everyone thinks Russians are crazy with very high tolerance for alcohol and that US southerners are racist inbred cretins.

True.

Not quite sure its fair to extend more or less sensitivity to people dependent on their skin colour, but you are right though I'm sure.

Thank you kindly for the advice.

I guess I was just trying to overemphasise the title.

And yeah stuff like black people running fast is 100% true, I mean look at the Olympics ffs. The only people who'd argue against it are ideologues overtly pretending that there are no biological differences between races.
