Just recommended Casino Jack(the documentary) in another thread. Its about the career of Jack Abramoff, super gambling lobbyist. It is a must watch. Make sure to look for when:
Spoiler:
GWB says he doesn't know Jack, but then there is a picture with W's signature thanking him for a visit to the white house

The Imposter is on. Documentary about a 13 year old Texan boy who went missing for 8 years. A few months after returning, it transpired that the returnee was in fact an imposter, and French! Very bizarre tale and a rather captivating watch.

Driver is a popular (and quite good) crime movie recently added to Instant Queue. United 93 was also recently added.

I watched the Italian crime movie Gomorrah and thought it was pretty good.

Probably been recommended before but Kagemusha by Akira Kurosawa was excellent.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi
Bones Brigade

Both excellent.

Mentioned this elsewhere (RGT of all places), but if you're looking for a light chickflick type series, check out Pasta. 20 episodes, 1 season only. Girl works her way up through an Italian restaurant in Korea.

My mother-in-law insisted that my wife watch it. So I tagged along for the first episode, got hooked. I have an odd appreciation for overacting Asian dramas (think: Meteor Garden), whether because of the cute storylines or the laughable production quality (although in this case, the quality is decent.)

Finally watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

Fascinating.

Honestly, I was in a horrible mood going in, but this film just sucked me in. Feelsgoodman.jpg I love the depth of their passion and work ethic.

I would eat all of it, obv.

If you watched the X-Men cartoon as a kid, WI has it now. It's surprisingly still good. I'm blown away by the production/intricacies of the plots. Some kid-friendly aspects, but mostly fine for adults.

Got an email the other day telling me the league season 4 was now available but when I load up Netflix it only has the first 3 seasons. Anyone else in the same boat?

Warrior was not very good. I thought Tom Hardy was great, and I thought the brother's trainer was solid, but the plot was s***. Super predictable, couldn't get invested in a tournament where the protagonists represent 25% of the field. I like the genre and I've seen Rudy prolly 50 times, but was disappointed by this one.

I'm five episodes into House of Cards and really digging it. Any Baltimore people notice they are filming in Baltimore and not DC for the majority of the show?

For a movie about MMA, that has a ******ed plot, and an obvious ending...I thought it was good. Probably because of the soundtrack consisting mostly of the two National songs.
