Also, Red, White and Blue was crazy.

"Film follows the cool, emotionless Erica, who dives into bed with any man she meets. When she is offered a job in a DIY store in Austin, she discovers the kindness of strangers, but also the gruesome shadowy side of it."

Crazy has many different definitions. My ex was crazy. My dog sometimes acts crazy. I watched Red, White and Blue today and it was normal, blah blah and went f****** haywire in last half of movie. Think Hostel meets Saw meets Hannibal's Lecter had a cousin you didn't know about. Entertained but buckle your seatbelt.

Spoiler:
I just kept thinking, "that escalated quickly"

Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia is an awesome documentary for anyone who hasn't already seen it. Basically about this Appalachian, hillbilly family that is infamous throughout the state and now throughout the country thanks to this documentary for their crazy lifestyles, constant run-ins with the law and just utter disregard for anything normal in society.

Turned off Poolhall Junkies about 25 minutes in. Super cheesy and awful dialogue.

Need some good thrillers. Preferably indie thrillers. Suggestions?

Poolhall Junkies is a really solid movie if you are into pool. But i agree, the acting/dialogue is on the weaker side.

The Imposter was a mind ****. Def an entertaining doc.

Heckler is a great doc. as well if you are at all into stand up comedy. Had a lot of lol moments.

I agree, sometimes the acting/dialogue is a little weak. With that said, I loved this monologue:
You watch those nature documentaries on the cable? You see the one about lions? You got this lion. He's the king of the jungle, huge mane out to here. He's laying under a tree, in the middle of Africa. He's so big, it's so hot. He doesn't want to move. Now the little lions come, they start messing with him. Biting his tail, biting his ears. He doesn't do anything. The lioness, she starts messing with him. Coming over, making trouble. Still nothing. Now the other animals, they notice this. They start to move in. The jackals; hyenas. They're barking at him, laughing at him. They nip his toes, and eat the food that's in his domain. They do this, then they get closer and closer, bolder and bolder. Till one day, that lion gets up and tears the **** out of everybody. Runs like the wind, eats everything in his path. Cause every once in a while, the lion has to show the jackals, who he is.

Johnny Doyle: Bet twenty thousand!
[the poolhall falls silent]

Johnny Doyle: Oh, did I stutter? Everybody gone all quiet and ****? About a minute ago it was like an evening at the Apollo up in this mother****er, now all of a sudden it's quiet as a church. That's all right, Chico, I don't blame you. I've been beatin' this Jimmy Walker lookin' mother****er all goddamn night, he can't win.

Chico: You'd better watch your mouth, Johnny!

Johnny Doyle: You watch my mouth, Chico. 'Cause you sure as hell don't wanna watch me play pool. Unless, of course, I'm blind folded and hand cuffed with a pool cue stickin' out of my ass. Or maybe you'd bet the twenty thousand then?

This is how I was sold on Poolhall Junkies. I don't think Poolhall Junkies is bad per se, but it's certainly not good - there's a certain type of person I would recommend it to.

Something Ventured is an interesting docu on the early venture capitalists.

Shows how companies like Intel, Tandem, Atari, and Apple etc. got their start.
