Some do provide the space for lions aka a reserve. Some just think its cool and that is the problem.
I did enjoy the documentary though I think it is 7.5/10 and quite interesting.
It did show the people who were the good, responsible owners. The rich couple in Vegas who had several big cats, and had some sort of organization to help people fight against restrictions.
However, the obvious huge contrast to that was the idiot with the two lions in a trailer--although he really, really cared for them.
Then the third level is the people who buy alligators and free them when they get big--the truly terrible owners.
It spent a lot of time in that middling area where the guy loves the animal, does his best to take care of it, but is just not equipped. Based on that, I can see why you'd think it leans toward restriction, but I think everyone got a fair shake.
