I was on pof for a while and had good rate of success...I went on dates with 13 girls in about 2 months...of the 13 I got laid 10x on first date and 1x on 2nd date...2 I got no loving and stopped talking to them...POF is easy pickens if youll bang a 6 or 7 its field day....many are quite blunt about wanting some action once you get them talking on there...

Again, online dating obviously selects for lonely people - it also selects for more intellectual and/or busy people. You're right in that girls whose top priorities in life are looking as good as possible and going out / partying as much as possible, who have dick lined up to crawl into them every single night of their lives, are not likely to give much thought to online dating. As for 'mean comments ' / 'stooping to this' etc., well, they sound like just the sorts of incredibly stuck-up, self-entitled bitches that you might expect.

Some people have to work hard, or enjoy other things more than clubbing, or for a thousand other reasons don't spend much time where young, horny people come together. Other people, whose lives revolve around these things, might look down on that. Should you or I or anyone else be obligated to feel bad or self-conscious about that? Those club-hopping girls' grandmothers think they're complete ****ing good-for-nothing whores, should we take that opinion seriously too?

Read their profile. Say/ask some clever, thoughtful things that convey approval / interest and also introduce a few things about you. Take it from there.

I get what you're saying, and it would be a joke to a lot of people I know too. But one day you grow up a bit and realize most of those people are high maintenance girls and self righteous douche bags. I set up an account on plenty of fish a few days ago and have been talking some decent girls, for (bit above avg) example.



All able to hold a solid conversation. Only difference is they have a nerdier sense of humor, easier going, and most are lower maintenance. In the end I'm finding more enjoyable people to hang around, so it's refreshing ****. lonesome - my percentage was very high when I started to get good at it. It sucked when I first started.

I also was getting a fair number of winks and messages my way from girls completely out of the blue once I got my somewhat humorous but offbeat profile straightened out. If you answer the Q "favorite movie sex-scene" as something really cliche like Unfaithful or something that a lot of people list then you aren't really attracting any attention. I listed it as "the body condom scene from Naked Gun."

It varies alot depending on your opening msg and your profile. I think a good profile/msg combo is somewhere in the 60+ range. Most guys are probably hitting closer to 0-20%. I'd say anyone who gets 50% is doing pretty well.

In general response rates are very low, that's just part of the game.

Going back to my fake girl profile...I kept a journal of everything in POG somewhere. I think I was getting about 1 msg every 15 minutes on average, about 100 per day. During the moments I was online I would get about 3-5 every minutes.

The great majority of them said some variation of "hi/hey/hello + "cutie/beautiful/sexy", and the rest asked boring questions like whats your name, what do you take in school, where do you work. I'd say all of that sums up about 90% of the msgs I got.

I actually used those results to frame some generic msgs I send to girls, they're always amazed that I know what their experience is like. I don't even have to concentrate on how awesome I am, I just talk to her about how ******ed every other guy is. They usually agree.

I have found that if you use the ''I'm a widow'' card you'll get laid super fast.

Yeah, this is how I would guess it as well. But I knew about the 'guys are ******s' stuff from talking with some of the girls online or the ones I met in real life.

I would say my response rate was somewhere in the 80% range once I got better at it. I know this is a brag but it really is what my success-rate was once I stopped sucking. I did tend to go for slightly intellectual chicks who were more likely to think my approach to them and profile were interesting. So I do think my own selection here played a role as well.

I also think a lot of this had to do with them checking out my profile and digging me after I had made initial contact with them. initial contact technique is only the start.

Your pic hopefully doesn't suck. That's kind of helpful too. I'm stunned by the number of people who have bad pics of themselves on their profiles.
