Ive never...understood why people would take dating (or any kindve advice for that matter) from this Henry character. Seriously. the guy is delusional.

I figure if anyone can argue a point well, and can write well and articulate their points well...they will be heard. but that should not be the case here! It is...but it shouldnt be. (his experience is tainted and content is flawed imo)

Should this guy really be giving advice to anyone?

No such thing as enough control to make it boring.

I don't believe delusional means what you think it does. I have a very restricted number of foods that I choose to eat. I'm not confused about this. I am fully aware of what I consume and don't consume. I'm also not under the impression that this is normal or even desirable behavior from a health perspective. I fully realize it is quite abnormal thus the reason it was included in this list.

hmm haven't read the whole thread but the only thing I could think of right now is I've never driven my car through any fast food drive-throughs, I've always just parked and walked inside.

You think youre controlled, but youre not. Youre afraid. And youre just so used to your fear now, that you now translate that into a controlled way of life that is only specific to you... and you now rationalize it into something that makes you appear to be alot more confident then you really are.

your holier than thou attitude is absurd....so absurd that you even created your own Dr Drew Advice Thread! lol

Since you have such a good grip on who you are...you should prolly understand that youre NOT fit to give your TAINTED advice to people on most things, because your experience is so Henry17 specific.

And yes, it is Tainted!

I look at it this way...everyone with a decent level of confidence feels like they have a good perception of themselves...my perception of you is...youre afraid of change, youre afraid of adapting to others, youre afraid of admitting to yourself that you are in fact weaker than you actually are...and you do that by trying to rationalize everything in what you think is a rational manner. I know I dont know Henry personally, but I think Im pretty spot on here...and if Im not, someone correct me....but if I am, he should NOT be giving anyone advice.

His confidence is the only thing that keeps him afloat in these social situations...and that confidence is self manifested out of fear. If you want to succeed in social situations, gain some real, authentic confidence and stop listening to Guy Smiley over here.

Ive never responded to anything hes ever written, not once. Ive read some of his posts here and there (how can you not, when hes everywhere!). Im not looking to pick on him, this just came up when I read through this thread...and I just couldnt help myself.

I mean, maybe he can help socially awkward people gain confidence in social atmospheres (because he mightve been the king of awkward)...but then again, I dont think he can. Hes in an isolated situation imo that only applies to his specific situation...and his mentality works for him because he THINKS it works for him. In his mind, perception is reality...as it is in most peoples minds.

The guy is an expert at this because hes been the blacksheep his whole life...and the way he treated that was only specific to his situation.

The key IMO is, people need to gain some real, authentic confidence...get some experience under their belts by taking chances...and then! they will find their own way, the way that would be right for them.

Also, Im really surprised at the number of people who have never tried a Big Mac.

My addition:

I consider myself an avid movie watcher...and have never watched an entire black n white movie by choice. (The original To Kill A Mockingbird in highschool was not by choice)

Wow. You're kind of a tool. He doesn't like to eat a lot of things. I'm the same way (although not quite to his extremes, I'm pretty damn close). Says nothing about whether he can give advice.

A Christmas Carol?

I actually prefer the black and white version to the re-coloured one, or any of the remakes.

A few months ago I downloaded "The Hustler" and had no idea it was black & white. Watched it anyways and the movie was excellent.
Those are the only black and white films I've ever watched.

Every time Henry's e-persona tilts somebody into a three page rant about him a piece of Yggdrasil dies.

I'm pretty sure that A Christmas Carol stars muppets and Michael Caine.

The never having watched a black and white movie is funny. If this was the case for me, about 80% of my TV watching during my youth would have been eliminated.
