My first job out of school had a 3 month interview process. I went through 3 phone interviews, and two in person panel interviews. The first in person panel interview was like a verbal test where six people went around a table asking me about theorems, thermodynamics and stuff.

Some companies have a very slow hiring process and others are much quicker. For my current job it took 3.5 weeks from resume submission to offer and two of those weeks were waiting for on-site interview following the phone interview because I had to fly cross country.

Here is generally faster but they can get rid of you within the first 3 months (your probation period) when you have no rights

I am from Germany and here standard probation is 6 months and the hiring process is at least 3 months. It is because usually if you apply from a position you have to give min 3 months in advance a note. Generally I think here employees have more rights than in USA, what is on one side good, on another side all the hiring is done in a lot more choosy way.

uk. My notice period is 1 month but people have anything from 1 week upwards depending on job.

I'm actually waiting on an interview to begin now. I had 5 interviews last week; two I'm confident I'll receive offers, but I really want the one I'm interviewing for today. This will just be a waiting week to see what offers come in.

The guy I interviewed with today was the nerdiest, most socially awkward person I've ever met. He tried to hug me at the end and I put my hand out; it was this weird hug/handshake lol. Anyway, he said I was the strongest candidate he has interviewed, and I seemed like a great leader and they are only hiring leaders. The only hang up was that I have little experience with finite element analysis, and that's mainly what they are looking for. I'll hear back from him in 2 weeks.

Are these interviewers from Tinder?

With which software are they working? I mean for finite element analysis. If you know that, you can sit down for two days with someone who is good with that and you will have the basics. It is really not so complicated.

I'm not sure what software they are using; I know whatever it is it wouldn't be difficult at all to learn in a few days.

That might have been one of those questions you would want to ask in an interview.

I really hope you land a job soon so you won't have any reason to not get out of that awful living situation.

The company in Arlington put the position on hold.

The company in east Texas made me an offer of only $69k today and said I have until Wed to accept.

The company I really want to work for wont make an offer until next week.

I had a discussion tonight with code 3 on weather or not I should wait for the job I really want here and pass up on the offer. My mind was made up that I would pass the offer until old asked code 3 if he really wanted to split up. His response, "I don't know how many times I have to tell you that I don't want to be with you" this is after we've been sexing regularly and he's been telling me he loves me every night and acting like everything is okay. I think by me staying here, I'm just holding out hope that he and I would stay together or get back together in the future. I'm going to take the job in Podunk nowhere for little pay to just get away from him and any hope that I have that we will be together. The job is also only about 30mins away from my daughters father, do it will be better for her to have him around more often.
