same here. goddamn this is annoying!
now you can't set your text alert to vibrate and leave your ringer on for calls. WTF how in the world is this supposed to be an upgrade?

Tap the plus key on the right side of the ring.

Thanks!
I'm an idiot, never even saw that little + tab
The 3 interlocking circles that pop up when you click it are kind of ugly imo. Being asymetrical annoys me.

I've been looking for an app that would allow this to be changed, but it seems that their aren't any since they're tied together by Motorola.

Here's the best one I've found:

Sound Profile +volume schedule [play.google.com]

Free version. There's also a $3.25 pro version.

The developer is very responsive. I emailed him/her about an issue that turned out to have nothing to do with his/her app. I apologized all over the place for bothering them, but they said no problem and continued to email me and ultimately fixed my issue. I was amazed, since it wasn't a problem with their app.

App works great on my Nexus4 and Moto G 3rd gen.

Thanks, that's just what I needed. I tried the free version and have already upgraded to pro.

damnit. is this verizon or the google store? i ordered one through verizon with a ship date of 1/13, i can't even find out how to see it on verizon's site anymore because the order is more than 30 days old, so i can't find an estimated ship date. if it's going to be that long i'm just going to cancel and wait for the s8 edge or something.

Glad it worked for you.

Another thing I liked about the app is creating widgets to the profiles.

So, instead of having to open up the app to change settings, I have 3 buttons on the home screen that are shortcuts to "Sound" "Vibrate" "Silent".

What is the cost comparison between a Verizon Pixel and standard unlocked one?
2016 Android thread Quote

Well, for instance, for me:

Standard unlocked Pixel XL 128 is something like $800.

Verizon Pixel XL 128 = $0/mo for 2 years with trade in of my ~2 year old Galaxy s6 Edge with Black Friday promo.

Other time periods have had $300 trade in value (as a promotion) for this phone, though I haven't checked the market price. So I think it's a not unreasonable guestimate of the value (to me at least) of being able to buy this phone from VZW through the Black Friday promotion of $500.

As much as I dig my Pixel gotta say it's annoying as **** that the phone reboots itself randomly almost daily. Hope they get to a fix for this soon.

One thing I miss on the Moto Z Force is there isn't an LED indicator. My last couple phones have had that, you know where the screen is off but if you have a message/missed call some small light blinks every few seconds. Instead I have to wave my hand over the phone to alert the screen to see. Actually, reading some about it I guess there is an LED, it just isn't used for this. Should I throw it out the window?

Is that a known issue? I haven't had any random reboots on mine that I'm aware of. Probably worth contacting support to see if you can get a replacement.

If so, there are a lot of bad simcards out there.

I am looking for the best (free, if possible) shared calendar app that is cross platform between Android and iOS.

In an ideal world, it would have the potential to accept multiple Google calendars from different devices and merge them into one group calendar that you could see/update/edit.

Suggestions?

Google Calendar?
2016 Android thread Quote
01-11-2017 , 12:49 AM
... really?

Aren't you forced to connect your entire Google account on both devices to share the calendar? i.e. the other phone can see your emails, etc.

No. You can share just calendar.
