My son is a scout and I voulunteer to do stuff with them all the time . I wasn't a scout myself , but have always been an outdoorsman

Eagle scout is a very big honor and very hard to get .

Of course you already knew that tho

I was a Cub Scout, then a Boy Scout for a few years but fell juuust a few merit badges short of Eagle Scout. I wouldn't know what to do for a service project anyway LOL But this was in the late 60's; once I heard Jimi Hendrix and my cousins introduced me to 'mary jane', it was all over for scouting.

If they had a merit badge for making Dinty Moore beef stew I would have earned that one for sure! I was good at canoeing as well, one of the few merit badges I did earn.

Anyway, major props to you for earning that medal. That is impressive IMO
