The thing about music is that its like fashion, if you don't have the same sound as whats in now you are lame. It doesnt matter whether you are an awesome signer, have a talented songwriter and the guitarist and drummer are awesome, if you dont have the "in" sound your not going to do as well. Of course if you are good enough you will change the genre of music or something like that the way nirvana had done.A perfect example is the Beatles, some record companies wouldnt touch them because they said that their style was going out etc etc, but they just happened to be awesome and kept it going. now if they had of waited another 10 years till the genre completly changed, what would of happend.
they probably would still of done well, would they of done as well- who knows, would they even of made it? who knows. But if all the cool kids said they were lame then well **** them and their talent.

edit: thats not to say that your not allowed to think whatever you want. its not directed at you just an example. I understand the, meh i dont like them, and then nothing will change your mind. Its the same with me and kanye west. Alot of people i know like him, i was like nah he not great and now ill refuse to change my mind even though i have heard a few songs that are ok. I'll just stick to my opinion of hes over-rated.
I also hate the way some people say, i didnt like him until i seen him live and the show was great, there were all these coll dancers/lights/effects etc. i'm like go to the ****ing circus if you like that and dont allow pyrotechnics/sideshows skew your opinion of someones musical talents

never seen oasis live [definitely wont now] i remember the good old oasis v blur days. Havent listened to alot of their stuff in a while but over the past few months i have again. I really like this clip from youtube.

i have a couple of reo speedwagon songs on my ipod, mainly because i used to travel to work with someone who had a cd of them and i just put it on. Now my gf refuses to listen to my ipod in car
her : "because your songs are ****"
me : "like?"
her : "That respeedwagon or whatever the **** their called"
Foreigner are meh, some stuff is ok. Im odd with music, i have anything from country music to led zepplin on my iPod.
In saying that 16% of my songs are Bruce Springsteen [i have 1400 songs on i tunes]
well obviously man city was an exception. But you making my point invalid about manchester being scum filled = manchester people are scum = BB99 is scum lol
