Tracking software is definitely a good investment if you can take the time to learn how to use it properly. Pokertracker 3 works with acr, not completely sure about HEM2.

I really do hope you put a lot of thought into going semi pro playing poker.

There needs to be some way to to tell when someone straddles. I have called several "minraises" from the BB only to have it jacked up by the straddler. There's no indication at all that its a straddle and not a minraise from utg

There is, or rather a lack of it. If someone minraised there would be the icon by there name. When they straddle, there is no indication

So hows the prepaid debit card cash out working out?

I used to use a similar method back in the day on pokerroom.com.

I paid like $30 bucks for a card they sent me. It only worked on ATMs never in stores or anything but that was ok.

As soon as I would cash out I would have my money on the card and go to the ATM a few minutes later with no problems.

So with this one do they mail you a new debit card everytime? or do they just like reload your account?

I"m curious, hoping my bovada check is real and clears the bank so I can sign up with some rakeback and try out this network.

Mine usually shows up late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning (EDT in U.S.)

You can find the rakeback credits to your account by opening the client, clicking "My Account", then "Transactions". A browser window will open up with the information.

I won a seat for LSOP and realized I can't go on that date and talked to chat support and they said they would buy it back from me. The next day I was sent 2.2k to my poker account. I talked to support and they said they can only refund the airfare and the buy in for the tournament. When I talked to them originally they said nothing about only getting 2.2k of the 3.5k. I understand that they don't have to offer to buy the seat back but my question is where does this 1.3k of the money go. There was over 3.5k in the prize pool for the tournament so to me it looks like they just pocket 1.3k. Also there is a $150 fee on the tournament should't I get that money back since you guys are giving me the tournament money back? I hope the rep can take a look at this. Also I wanted to add that I have been playing on the site for almost a year now and haven't had a problem with anything, but this kinda just rubbed me the wrong way.

The two things that have me sitting on the fence, as far as depositing money, are:
1) SnG activity seems quite low. As of 6PM EST there are only 5 active tournaments between the $0-5 range. Kinda disappointing, as I used to multi-table at least twice that.
2) The "It is your turn to act" messages seem quite inconsistent. Sometimes the table will just pop up. Sometimes I'll get an audible alert. Sometimes the windowed icon at the bottom will turn blue. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how I am alerted when my hand is up.
Other than those two issues; the software seems nice; the rate of play seems nice; the layout seems nice. A little more traffic in the SnG realm is my only hesitation. Just my (initial) 2c.

Another feature I would like to see is the "Call" button go red when you are facing a raise.
Yes, our SNG traffic is not at its best, but that’s why we’re doing promotions like the $10k Sit N’ go Mania Race to help boost things, some SnGs are more rewarding more points than others. See Details: http://www.americascardroom.eu/portf...it-n-go-mania/
The "It is your turn to act" is on our list of development, we’ll do our best to address it soon.

Trust me when I say I did my homework and this is the site for U.S players as long as you arnt looking for super high stakes or like 5+ sngs at a time.

Yo Americas card rep you were right about the 250 max deposit on visa. Dude on phone was cool, but told me the only way I could deposit more as a first timer is to use western union although he did say if I put in more then 300 the fees would be waived (aka I would pay like 360 or something total but I would get it all on my account).

Can you confirm there is no way to use my Visa for an initial 400-500 dollar deposit as a first timer?

I also saw some stuff about player to player transactions. I think I noticed that you said one could theoretically use that as an initial deposit method and still get the first timer bonus. Anyone interested in helping me try that out?

I plan to play alot of 10 and then later on 25nl 6 max ring games and 10-20 dollar heads up sit and goes or double up sit and goes and with no time limit on your deposit I was thinking I would just go ahead and put 500 on.

What do you guys think wait and try and get the full 500 first timer deposit bonus via western union or some other method. Or just go ahead and do 250 so I can start playing asap?
$250 is the max for visa. WU is easy and fast and it’s true we’ll cover fees for deposits over $300.The initial deposit bonus only applies for when you make your first deposit.

Big change to all freezeout tournaments!

Just days away from our long expected $250,000 Guaranteed tournament on April 15th at 7 pm ET, all existing freezeout multi-table tournaments will become Re-Entry Tournaments.

Meaning you can put in more volume and less waiting around for an available tournament to start.

Players looking to satellite into the Liberty Quarter Million can play our 250-Seat Super Satellite this Friday April 13th, beginning at 8:00pm ET. The event has 250 seats guaranteed in the April 15th Liberty Quarter Million, and costs $36+3 to enter.

Enjoy the tables!

Freezeouts being eliminated to reentry tournaments? Isn't this an unfair advantage to bigger rolled players? That's quite the decision to eliminate ALL freezeouts.

My banker told me that in most cases debit cards can not be used for international transactions, it has nothing to do with poker or ACR.

I used a Visa credit card.

Agreed. The rebuy tournament at the WSOP was nicknamed the buy-a-bracelet tournament for a reason.

I have communicated regularly with online support, and I thanked them for having more MTT freezeouts, including one at my level. I even said that the one with 15-minute levels and 2,500 starting chips was a game-changer for me. I had been playing mostly micro SNGs, waiting anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes for them to start, because all of the micro tournaments had rebuys and add-ons.

I'm a American who is pretty gunshy about putting a lot of money on any site right now, so I decided to put $50 on the site and grind it up. I am now at $100. The tournament to which I was referring is at the $5 level, and with a $100 bankroll that's a real stretch. But I think that the 2,500 chip/15-minute level structure makes it worth the risk for me to play it.

If you're going to switch everything to rebuys, that's really a kick in the head for me. Also, have you thought about what this will do to the new players? They could conceiveably blow through a $100 or $200 bankroll in just a few days, which in my opinion destroys the bottom of your player pyramid.

Terrible, terrible decison.

If every tournament is a rebuy or reentry, there is no reason for an MTT specialist like me who takes bankroll management seriously to stay on the site.

Last edited by Poker Clif; 04-11-2012 at 09:03 PM. Reason: punctuation, added "terrible decision", and discussion of micro SNGs.

You're talking about the $5,000 2-7 tourney. Quite a difference because there was only around 20 that entered. I agree that was a joke, but lol at the comparison.

Hit cashout on 3/18. ACR waited until 3/23 to "process" my request. Live chat said those 5 days don't count toward the 15 business day wait. It has now been 24 calendar days since hitting cashout and NO CHECK!

Signed up for a debit card last weekend and the $25 is out of my account. I'll post when I get the card, the time it takes to get money from my account to the card, and the fees to get the money out.
