Don't they have no RB? Is their rake a lot better in the first place than some of the RB sites? And aren't all players anonymous, as in post session I'd only have my own stats? Not that that isn't useful, but I'd like to be able to build histories on other players, have notes, etc.

Yeah, no RB and it's anonymous.

The rake is pretty high. I paid 9.5 bb/100 at 25nl 6 max. I'd imagine 2nl will be worse, but the competition is probably non existent at that level so it's probably beatable.

No stats post session, no reads etc. There's only whatever reads you get in session vs someone. I'm happy with the site, they usually have these promos which gives some form of rakeback, but lately they haven't and it's been zero rakeback.

Whichever is better, I'd like a site that works with that, so I think that rules out Bovada (unless something changed, I've tried to read up on this). Good affiliates for whatever best fits me? I'm in IL, may be in MI soon if that changes things. Looks like it doesn't, going by OP.
Take a look at Seals With Clubs,if you can get comfortable with Bitcoin.
The rake is 2.5%,smallest stakes 0,05/0.1 chip= $0.03/$0.06
no HEM or PT

1 chip = 0.03 today. Tomorrow it'll be a penny. Next week it'll be 10 cents.

But I do agree - I'm loving Seals, even though bitcoin currency is extremely volatile right now.

There's also a related staking network - www.sealsdeals.info - that runs a bot ("bet") that will assist you in selling/buying shares, arrange chops, and helps players establish a reputation network.

One word of warning - scammers LOVE seals. Do not trust anyone right off - even if their reputation is golden on the bet wall of trust (wot). Use extreme caution when dealing with people even if you've dealt with them before. It's not unheard of for scammers to build up trust in a short period simply so that they can pull off slightly larger scams later.

First I would like to discuss an issue I am having with Carbon Poker's Promotions.

My player ADMIN always seems to show that I did not complete the tasks required for promotions when I in fact did. So whenever I want to get the tournament entry coupon I earned I have to contact support so they can manually release it.

I know that some players have reported that such coupons come automatically once they complete their required tasks. But this is not the case for me.

So I contacted them through live chat and spent a good 45 minutes wiating for them to resolve this issue or at least issue me the tourney coupon I had earned by completing the task. At the end of this conversation, the rep tells me that he has referred this to a supervisor and I will hear back within 48 hours......but the freeroll tourney I wanted to gain entry in was in about 16 hours. So he tells me there is nothing he can personally do and has the gall to feel "insulted" when I suggest that he wasted 45 minutes of my time (insulted is his word not mine). I asked him to comp me for my inconvenience and he said there is no guarantee that i will get comped whether or not I am right. So this is how they treat their customers? Why couldn't the promotion they offer just be smooth sailing like BCP? On BCP, when I place in the top 10 for the two week freeroll competition, I actually DO get my entry into the LSOP qualifier. And every day I get my rakeback at BCP not to mention additional bonus dollars that I can release at the push of a button. Being that Carbon has been in this game longer, I would think they would be more reliable than the new kids on the block like ACR and BCP. And for one thing, one would think they would be more willing to comp customers for their time when the issue in question is not the customner's fault and the customer has been severely inconvenienced in terms of his time spent dealing with customer support.

So what is the deal with Carbon? I know they don't have a section on 2+2 anymore and that fact alone does make me question whether Carbon will soon be going the way of LOCK. I mean, why offer a promotion if you will not deliver what the promotion offers? Is it because they are trying to pull a "fast one" on customers who may not pay close attention to their accounts? feels kind of scammy when considered along with the following facts:

I also noticed that on Carbon, you pay more money per SNG in rake than you do for BCP. In most cases, the difference is QUITE SIGNIFICANT. As an example,

you pay $1.10 for 9-max regular SNG on carbon with a top prize of $4.28

you pay $1.65 for a 9-max regualr SNG on BCP with a top prize of $6.75

doing a little math will get you a buy-in/prize ratio of 3.89 for Carbon and 4.09 for BCP (considering first place only)

This may not seem like a big deal at the outset but consider an investment of $100 and winning every single SNG you play. at CARBON, you would have made it to $389 while at BCP you would have made it to $409...the difference is $20.....woopdy doo right? NO. $20 is 20% of what you started with. That is pretty damn significant to me....And when one considers the fact that I get 27% RAKEBACK at BCP and NO RAKEBACK at Carbon, one might wonder why i would play at Carbon at all....Well, I am a US player and so am severely limited in terms of pokerroom choices so I have account pretty much everywhere I can.

And I have done calculations like this for a great number more of SNGs to compare the rake being charged at CARBON with that being charged at BCP.....In every single instance, BCP rake charges are LOWER.

So Carbon is a more expensive place to play poker. Is the extra expense worth it?

Can any of you fellow 2+2'ers who play at FULL TILT and POKERSTARS provide the latest figures on SNG buy-in/first prize ratio at the less than $5 level? I would like to know if BCP is actually charging a good rate of rake or if it just seems that way because of the other US alternatives.

The reason why I have been doing these kinds of calculations is because I want to find out what kind of 1st/2nd/3rd/OUT numbers I need to consistently progress in terms of bankroll. How many can I win and lose and still stay in the game to play another day. I found that I will deplete my bankroll much faster at carbon than at BCP, 20% faster. I wonder what the comparison would be with POKERSTARS or FULLTILT. Does anyone know?

Thanks

Does anyone know if any of the online sites will be providing WSOP ME packages? If so, which ones do you recommend?

FYI - spoke to a rep with Juicy Stakes via email today amid reports of Nevada players being dropped from Revolution. Still trying to find out definitively if Revolution itself is no longer servicing Nevada residents. But Juicy Stakes maintains it is still open for those in Nevada.

Bitcoin e-currency was a great for us but since the largest exchanger MtGox was closed - the value of bitcoins has dropped tremendously.
Personally I don't know a place where I can withdraw my coins without any problems to my CC or bank account.

So this room was great a few months ago but it is not a good option now. And it is not their fault.

there are many options which vary depending on the country you're in. (coinbase, bitstamp, btc-e, and lots of country specific ones like btcchina, cavirtex, etc) even before gox went down, you couldn't get fiat from them.

Not to mention BTC has been up and down like a roller coaster long before the MTGox debacle.

It's a foreign exchange without the foreign country. Working in btc is conceptually no different than working in Pounds, or Euros, or Rupees, or Krugerrand. It's going to change in value relative to US Dollars.

bitcoin has only dropped for you (tremendously) if you're one of the peeps that bought at $1,200 a coin. The Bitcoiners remain bullish and Mt Gox only processed about 7% of all transactions / exchanges.
