I read several dozen pages of this thread but honestly it sounds like the landscape is ever changing so to get the most updated suggestions, I decided just to post. I am looking to start playing some online poker. I pretty much strictly play micro SNGs. Starting bankroll is about $150 and will be on a mac. It sounds like Bovada, Carbon, and ACR are the tops. Any suggestions on which one of these sites/rooms will best suit me?

A second question has to do with the legality of where I live. I live in Florida and my billing address is such. However, I visit Washington state often (it is quite the trip). So does billing address decide the legality of play or does IP address? I know Washington state blows for online poker laws.

I'm also back to online. So you've chosen 3 rooms which are the best now imo. One thing to know about Bovada - they have anonymous tables. And may be Blackchippoker is worth mentioning.

As for the legality. Your address of residence decides it, not IP address. But I'm not sure if you'll be able to login from the states where it is prohibited to play online.

Hello, I currently have an account on Bovada have to go to New York for a while. I know Bovada is blocked in New York but am I able to play since my home address is elsewhere? Just wondering if I'm able to play while I'm in New York for a while. Do they track IP addresses?

You mean ways to break their T&C's? If anyone does this, I doubt they'll be willing to discuss it in a public forum, and we don't allow that sort of discussion anyway.

I am in same predicament. ACR seems to be out too because I hear via these forums that the site is acting screwy for the past month or so. So holding judgement from going over there just yet. LiveAce is only other option for NY players but that is a joke unless you are very micro level player and not considering serious real poker play.

Lot of good that does. It's so outdated already. I live in maryland and it says I can play on PPN and Revolution(Lock). If you follow the threads for Lock and PPN, you see that they are not an option right now.

Here in Maryland we cannot even sign up for Club WPT!

I just wanted to make sure...but none of the options in my state (Washington state) are good options to play?

I've only heard awful things about these rooms...

If you don't already have a roll online, then the obvious choice is to wait until the end of the month when the legal sites are running. Borgata > Merge, Bovada, and Winning or whoever.

I don't think anyone knows that yet. I believe there are no regulations written into the laws about it, so something like that will be up to the sites.

Wait a few weeks. You can then play on 1 of the NJ sites, hopefully.

From my experiences IP addy will not matter on Bovada, only address of residence like you said.

Since the first post answered the question he was asking, it would have done a lot of good.

Mods aren't checking every thread about other sites on a regular basis to see if the OP of this thread is perfect. If anyone sees something that needs updating, we'd appreciate it if you let us know. If you're able to quote the relevant post(s) for PPN here and report them, that would be awesome. As for Lock, they're no longer even on Revolution, so obviously we need to update that. I'll just remove Lock for now, as I have no idea how Lock is handling every state since they moved.

They are the same skin same player pools same everything just differnt customer service. Plus i know the fast payouts are happening on ACR atm 1-3 days WU 7-14 days by check and if you get the debit card support is saying it will take 6-8 weeks to get the card but people who have the card are also getting their money in 1-3 days so you can use WU while you wait for that.
Just to be clear...ACR AND Black Chip are on the same network...AND their support is one in the same! Need proof...go on the live chat on both of them at 3am or 4am in the US and you will get the same person.

Actually if you on their live support you can choose between which support you are looking to talk to. I asked support last night if i could transfer funds between ACR and BCP because someone gave me an offer to play over at BCP and the rep said they are two different companies, with different cashier systems and do not deal with each other. So are you sure about this? When i use support for ACR i choose the option for ACR. Also if you go over to the WPN payout thread you will see people complaining about not getting their money right away from BCP while ACR is all smiles getting paid in 1-3 days so their is a distinct difference even if the support is the same.

Im pretty sure only because I talked to the ACR guy about deposit options...then went on BCP to consider opening an account there and reached the same guy...I told him that i needed to ask questions about BCP and he said he handles questions for both.
