This kind of stuff is what makes me nervous for playing full-time on Bovada. What happens if I'm in a big 200NL hand and it crashes? I'm just out a possible buy-in?

Same as being down a buy in if you were in a 5nl hand. Worst case, You're down a buy in. Bankroll management.

Yes its true, ive played 4k mtts on here and has only happened twice the that tournament just stopped. At that point lets say i had 2x starting stack, they deposited 2x the buy in + the rake into my account right away.

I also wanna note that in my 2 year playing on here, this is the first time ever that the system has had this big of an issue. Im sure they will correct it soon, and will return the buy ins for those who were booted from a tournament they were playing at the moment.

Calm down, kids, Bovada will refund your buy ins. It's not like a site wide crash doesn't happen at least twice a month.

I think I'm the only one "playing" 25nl zone (well, I'm the only one at the table, but the lobby says that two people are playing). Also, I had registered for a $2.20 tournament, and it actually just started with 16 players ($1,000 guarantee) before Bovada (understandably) shut it down after one hand.

You'll get your chip equity... just not the implied value of your big stack

Actually I could get a nice chop of the price pool if it counted ha last hand. Chip leader with 10 left should get the most right? Checking policy Asap

Played 2 tournaments. Busted one, and ran my chips from 3k to 17k in the other when the tournament was cancelled. Got a message that said my buy-in would be refunded.

Is this correct? Will I have both tournament buy-ins refunded then? Or do they do chip count chop?

Were you in the $5 tourney that was just about to go the final table? I had 92k when it went down.

Then I better get more than my buy-in back in the tournament that was halfway through then. The pop-up only indicated that I would be refunded my buy-in.

Note: I found the Bodog policy in the other thread. It seems fair. For tournaments not yet in the money, 1/2 the prize pool is split evenly amongst the remaining players and the other 1/2 is split according to chip count.

Tournament Refund
This will occur if the tournament has been canceled prior to actually starting OR if the tournament is canceled prior to one or more players being eliminated from the tournament.

In this case, all players registered for the tournament will get their buy-in and fees refunded (including re-buys and add-ons if purchased). All refunds are done in the exact same way they were bought. If you bought in with a Tournament Ticket then the ticket would be returned to you.

Cancellation with No Players in the Money
When no players are in the money and a tournament is canceled, all remaining players will be refunded their entry fee and then the prize pool is divided based on the following formula:
1. 50% of the prize pool is distributed evenly among all players remaining.
2. 50% of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.

Cancellation with All Players in the Money
When all players are in the money and we do a roll forward, all remaining players will be refunded their entry fee and then the prize pool is divided based on the following formula:
1. Each player receives the minimum prize not yet awarded at the time of cancellation.
2. The remainder of the prize pool is distributed proportionally based on chip count.
One-on-One (Heads Up) Sit and Go Tournaments
Because the outcome of a heads up tournament can be affected when one player stays connected while another does not, we reserve the right to do a chip count distribution if our site experiences a downtime that warrants the cancellation of tournaments.

Guaranteed Tournaments
If a tournament with a guaranteed prize pool is canceled:
1. When players are NOT in the money, the payout will be based on the prize pool composed of buy-ins only.
2. When players are in the money, the payout will be based on the guaranteed amount if the buy-ins fail to comprise the guaranteed amount.

I mean, if you busted already, you won't get anything... but if you had chips when they cancelled, you get (remaining prize pool x your percentage of chips)
