Some of us love the game of poker, and we get our enjoyment from beating the games fair and square. I wouldn't want an undeserved edge. I like knowing when I go on vacation to Aruba with my winnings that I deserved it because I studied hard, played a lot of volume, and out thought my opponents. Not because I found some flaw in the software. But to each his own I guess.

And I also love the no wait list. The things that most people complain about (no wait lists, no names, no long term HUD) are the exact reasons why I like playing here. Like the other poster said, if you want that kind of stuff then there are plenty of sites that have those features. But those sites suck, probably because they have those features.

Also, I know your analogy was a joke and supposed to be extreme but I'm not 100% sure I would take that case either. Usually people come looking for their bags of millions in unmarked cash and when they find the person who took it they probably aren't very nice to them, not to mention the possible prison term. Just because you found money in a bag doesn't mean you can legally keep it.
If you love poker so much why don't you stop making those posts about how some fish sucked out on you.

Loving a game and sometimes getting upset/angry over it for brief periods of time are not mutually exclusive. Have you ever got in a argument with a loved one, same concept.

I love this idea and coincidentally have been advocating the same thing myself for years. It would make it more difficult to collude, too.

Software assigned seating + player ID HHs 72 hours after the hand.

Gotta love clicking the blackjack icon and crashing your 6 tables, losing all your HUD stats in 4 3 hour MTT and having to take your seat in every tournament.

edit: Just did it again

I'm fairly new to Bovada, but my tables crash all the time. Is there something that can be done about, like not running many programs while playing, or just something you have to live with?

Hate the most is sit down for 1 minute, pay the BB... and get disconnected on the flop @ 4 tables. $8-10 bucks down the drain because of bovada disconnection. Plus no disconnection protection during cash game.

I must admit that all this talk about disconnecting is pretty bad. What's weird is that I have no such problem and it's not like I'm a computer wiz or anything like that. Don't know why it's happening to some players, and I feel for you, but I do want to drop in my 2 cents and say it's not happening to everyone. Believe me, I would be very happy if disconnects didn't happen to anyone--I want a million people playing on Bovada (at least until we get PokerStars back, playing with some real rewards/VIP program would be so nice right now).

I played in the days when poker sites had disconnection protection. Trust me you do not want this. Players would always disconnect when you made a large bet and they didn't want to call, but still wanted to draw or get a free showdown.

I only disconnect issue I've had is with the software crashing. Pretty annoying because I have to reboot for client to work. During my sessions usually go uninterrupted though.

No wait lists.

Or capes, no capes too.
I'm talking about a general wait list, not individual wait lists tied to specific tables. Something like put me in the next open seat for full ring $200 NLHE.

It's really not that hard to get an open seat lol. Take 20 seconds, refresh lobby and snag one...

I've never really had any issues with disconnecting. During my session I see players disconnecting on a regular basis, at least 2 or 3 every session I play. I don't count the number of times someone times out due to a bad connection.

Short-stackers account for a significant portion of my winnings. They're spewy. They get lost post flop and shove in hopeless situations. They leak their cash away with bad calls when they aren't shoving. Clearly one must adjust strategy against them, but it's worth the effort.

Would you prefer a full table of $200 buy-in regs? The worst players in the game are the short stackers. There are exceptions, of course, but not many.

Love the short stackers, but not too short, the sweet zone is usually 40-70 bb stacks for me. They spew with top pair and many times with much less.

i'd prefer this. Adds up much quicker than 15bb or whatever the min buy in is.

there's plenty of bad players who buy in for more than min. Those are the only short stackers i'm referring to.

It's not that easy when there's only 4-5 games going of the stake you want ... as soon as one opens up there's like 6 people who've been watching who start frantically clicking on it. Most seats are filled within a fraction of a second, if you don't already have that table up your not getting the seat.

Sometimes it takes me 30 mins+ just to get 4 tables running, especially because they are also constantly breaking because no one wants to play more then 30 hands.

Seating has started to become a huge factor in how well you do online now. If your bad at finding your seats your at a disadvantage.

I agree; this is one of the most annoying things to me about their software. I open tables and the seat is already taken, repeat ad infinitum.

I really wish they would allow you to have like 5 tables open at a time. I totally understand the playing at 4-cash-tables max rule and how it helps keep the games better. But I would love to be able to open one table in the background to check if there is a seat open that I can move to before actually leaving whatever crappy table I'm on.
