the govt seized their money. i dont get why people are even asking if its only going to affect US players. if youre outside the US you can still play but youre basically playing for play chips because tilt and stars dont have any money to give you if u cash out

Wow. My stomach is in knots. Not so much for me, I just have a few hundred in recreational $$ on PS & FT, but for those I've come to know and read about here on 2+2 who grind day after day for their rent and food, who have helped me with advice (strategy, bankroll or other). Who have given me many laughs and many interesting life stories.

This is people's livelihoods here. Talk about the biggest KITN from the US govt... I'm holding out hope for you all that this can be resolved and QUICKLY in our favor.

Yet, check cashout seems almost comically useless.

Bank transfers are not working on FTP. Tried one early, got declined an hour ago.

Optimistically Id like to think that if even this ends how we hope it doesnt the gov't would allow/force the sites to return players' funds (would be neteller x1000 Id imagine) before taking their still very large cut.
No, they wouldn't seize our funds ... but how long until we see it?

I just found out about this right now -- I have 7k in my account and I need it badly.

Even those in the land of the free are expected to play by the rules.

Money Laundering....and tax evasion are two thing that will surely get the fbis interest.

Now I'm wondering if the tourneys tonight will have huge overlays...

Please understand that our transfer tool is only meant to help players fund
their accounts when they are unable to deposit with deposit options
currently available to them. All funds added to accounts via transfer must
be used solely to play at our tables.

We are restricted by our license agreement in the Isle of Man and this
prevents us from being able to offer a real money transfer service for the
purpose of cashing out or any other purpose that is not enabling customers
to play at the tables.

Below you will find our terms and conditions, specifically those that refer
to transfers, you may read our complete terms and conditions at the
following link as well:

http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/tos/

5.3 REAL MONEY TRANSFERS. The PokerStars real money transfer facility is
accessed via the "PokerStars Lobby" (under the heading "requests" and then
"transfer funds"). Users must enter the amount to transfer and the player ID
of the intended recipient. Users are reminded that it is their
responsibility to ensure they know who the other Users are before entering
into these arrangements. Limits on transfers will be set by PokerStars per User.

As part of PokerStars' licensing agreement and in compliance with anti money
laundering legislation, Users need to be aware they may be required to
produce personal documentation (such as Government issued ID, bank
statements and utility bills) upon request in order for their transfer to be
processed. This allows PokerStars to help protect the Users and prevent
PokerStars being used as a vehicle for money laundering or fraud.
