LOL, it was actually just a $10 tourney I wad against him. He was the short stack and pushed all in. I reraised all in with pocket queens. Big blind woke up with AA and eliminated us both.

I remember playing dealer's choice home games more than 20 years ago, where we probably played 15 games and not a one of them was a flop game. We'd never even heard of HE.

In between (Acey Ducey)
B*itches and followers
Fives and dimes
Cinnamon
Pass the Trash
Guts
etc., etc.

Much fun being an 18 year old playing high-low and getting an Ace and a 3 with a $2,100 pot on the table. (I potted it, hit a deuce. Ooops.) (If you understand that sentence, God bless you - you know the game.)

Someone try and figure out the odds of hitting your hand and it being good in a game of High Chicago, low Chicago, (3 way split) 4 gets another card, Suicide Jack kills the hand.

Your head will explode.

I remember setting the cocktail tables at Paradise with festive stuff on the holidays. You could play no brainer, abc, 2'nd level poker and destroy.

In between is such a sick game. Drawing that deuce must have made you feel like puking.

Excellent thread. The browser on PokerRoom.com was terrific, and afaik, few places have replicated that.

Also, if I recall, didn't PR.com have some of the highest stakes HU limit games back in the day?

Hell, still makes me feel like puking all this time later. Worst thing was that it was the last deuce in the deck. Although there were three 3s still out, so it could have been worse I guess!

I remember when jamming AJs+ 88+ the first hand of a sng was a legit strategic discussion on 2p2 because you would get called by at least one person a super high% of the time.

I remember when you got to pick your seat in the party sngs, and people would sit as far as they could away from "gamboholic". It wasnt a race to sit to her left, but to sit allllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way across the table.

The pre sngpt days.....ahhhh

we played that if your draw card tied you had to double what you bet. Junior year, 460 in the pot, first card ace, called it low, second card ace, naturally plays high, potted it, third card Ace!!!!!!!!!!!! had to go home to get more money from my shoebox to cover the 920.
