Could the final 200 prize be transferable? Like could we all just grind for a spot and whoever finished in the top 200 could just let Jared submit a video in their spot?

^omg that would be awesome. all of 2p2 grinding the Big Game qualifiers on Jared's behalf.

ENTER A BIG GAME QUALIFIER
There are free-to-enter Big Game Round 1 satellites running four times a day from now until December 20. Finish in the top 300 and you’ll advance to Round 2.
Make it into the top 1000 in a Round 2 tournament and you’ll get a seat in the Big Game Final Round qualifier. All players that finish in the top 200 in the final will be invited to send PokerStars a casting video, telling us why you think you should be on TV’s best new cash game show. Impress us with your video and you’ll be heading off to Las Vegas to star on the show as a Loose Cannon qualifier
Check out the list of upcoming qualifiers on this page and register for the next qualifier now. You can also find them listed in the PokerStars client under ‘Tourney’ & ‘Regional’.
I haven't played any of them but it doesn't seem impossible to qualify. The tough part seems like standing out in the audition tape. It looks like over 1,000 people submitted audition tapes. Obviously not all of them are going to make it on the show.

Jared seems like a perfect fit for what PokerStars wants in a Loose Canon. I was bored one day and watched a bunch of audition tapes. The only one that really stood out to me at the time was Nadia Magnus. I was sure she'd make the cut and her performance as a LC exceeded my expectations.

It would suck if PokerStars missed out on this opportunity.

I am guessing no. For a freeroll it seems unlikely. But I am SURE jared can beat some free roll where 200 people go thru. He is a college grad with a great work ethic. He can play poker. They run four times a day, within 3 days I bet he could make it to the next round. I also think its better if he gets himself in.

How funny will it be to have twenty 2+2ers ( including me) railing a freeroll!!

I think only freeroll but if someone knows another way tell us please. I would happily fund the buy ins. Just talked to Jared told him to check freeroll schedule and get to work

For the story, I don't agree - the 'got in on a freeroll'-thing has been done to death since Moneymaker. The biggest pokerforum on the internet getting together to help a deserving member get on the show would make for a new and interesting angle.

+1

The problem with this would be other qualifiers complaining that the guy basically got there without having to win anything.

Would be great to see this happen though.

You may be right minus, I never looked at it from that perspective. I was thinking he would "earn his seat" and not just get juiced in by the big boys like BoostedJ and DN. But I do see your point and you very well may be right.

But the reality is I KNOW he can beat some freeroll donkament. I offered to get him a room in vegas, order room service and just sit and grind the freerolls till he qualifies. But typical Jared he works every day this week except sunday so he declined. The kid is something else.

Here's the thing: they're casting a TV show. The online qualifier stuff is really just a mechanism for encouraging people to sign up and play at PokerStars - I don't see that it has any real significance when it comes to choosing their Loose Cannon. That's why the final round is an audition and that's why they allow so many qualifiers to submit tapes. I've worked in TV and Jared has the golden combo: Story + Charisma. If they want him to be on the show, they can make it happen.
