If no one files a complaint, it becomes a freeroll. Victims need to face the reality that they are not getting paid back.

Any idea how? Simple password? Key logging? Reused the same password from before the 2012 password reset?

Sucks you got hacked/scammed but I have some questions regarding people who got scammed on lock poker.

You say you got scammed for 3k on lock when lock was selling for $0.80 on the dollar. Do you feel entitled to get the full 3k back or the $2,400 it was selling for at the time, OR do you feel like getting the 3k in whatever it's selling for now on lock?

Also, all the people saying he deserves jail, you are joking right? Howard lederer, Russ Hamilton, Chris Ferguson, Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Rafe Furst, Ray Bitar and many others deserve jail over this guy and they, not only got away with stealing millions of dollars but will never see the inside of a jail cell and will never be brought to justice. As much as this guy is scum, at least he is owning up to his mistakes.

(Of course, lol at "Found god, no longer a scummy person").

After I posted OP should go to jail I kind of thought for a moment if I was a scammed victim, would I still want him to go to jail? At first it seems like thats -EV$ for victims, but perhaps its not, or maybe it's necessary.

1.) Him getting convicted would make it much easier to get a civil judgment in your favor.

2.) Hes likely going to revert back to his ways when he gets upset because God didnt bless him with something one day. I highly doubt he just all the sudden found Jesus and will be a good person the rest of his life.

3.) Him going to jail, with a huge NVG thread and all, would certainly decrease the amount of future scammers/scams. Part of the problem is the worst thing that ever happens in the poker world is some internet nerds make a thread about you. Hell if you ADMIT to STEALING 280k from people but say you found Jesus then well, OK, go on and try to do well and make some $ to pay people back. I mean its kinda ridiculous.

4.) Him spending jail time might actually make a change out of him other than his Jesus [likely] whim. If it's not a whim, then he'll pay you when he gets out. Maybe he'll get diagnosed and medicated for the mental illness he probably has.

Anyways, I think theres some upside with turning this over to the right channels and have him actually face some non-NVG style punishment. Or just let him do his airbrushing and hope he sticks with Jesus and continues to feel bad.

TVOR

But that's not realistically likely to happen in this thread.

According to Zillow his home was bought for $497K and has a current value of 1 million. Home equity loan, or sell the house and pay everyone off.

In what world do you live in where stealing 280k isnt deserving of jail time? Do you actually believe this situation is the same as whatever youre referring to of Annie Duke?

I feel entitled to $2,400 because that was the deal. I send $3k lock and he sends $2,400 to my bank account. I sent my part so, if I were to be paid back, I would feel entitled to $2,400.

If he found God I think that's a good thing. By the sounds of it, he was going down a bad path that would probably lead to jail time or being killed by someone. If a connection with God can prevent that then good for him.

Of course he deserves jail time for what he did. He is a con man that stole over a quarter of a million dollars and is now known and can be caught. Pointing out others that deserve it and have avoided it doesn't change that he deserves it, at least according to the law. Personally, if he were to pay me back I wouldn't care one way or another what happened to him afterwards.

So let's say this guy deserves jail time (he should but so should the others I listed). The very fact of the nature is, the people I named will not see jail time, so why should he? Also, how long should he get it for? Should we make a list of jail time determined by amount of money scammed? If you think this guy deserves jail, then so should Chino Rheem and Erick Lindgren. Also Mike Matasouw too for scamming Ted Forrest.

Also, if true that he owns a home worth ~$1,000,000, government should step in and set a lien on the house.

one way that has definitely been used is to play someone HU and then DDOS them in big pots where they have committed a lot of chips but are not all-in (and so they are forced to fold when their connection DCs and doesn't come back in time)

I'm probably being a bit too suspicious. But, might not be a good idea to email this guy telling him what a douche bag he is.

Never know what he can get/give you, I.P. addresses of active players maybe trojans etc.... who knows? Just a thought.

I see.

In that case it is important to prevent an attacker from learning your IP address and connecting it with your poker site screenname. Any time you click a link, with every page and image request, your IP address is logged and anyone who has access to the log files can get it.

For example, I could host an image on a server I have access to, and then post that image on 2+2. I will get the IP address of everyone who opens the 2+2 page containing that image. The only problem is I won't be able to connect the IPs with screennames. That's why scammers will send out links to images, because if they only send that link to one person, they know that person's IP address.

Do not click on links in poker table chats, or links that a potential scammer might send you privately.

VP$IP that mugshot is the correct one of the person believed to be the OP. Justin Enzo "Archie" Archuleta.

Justin - Hopefully you can work out a realistic way to pay some or all of that back. Assuming that was Justin who posted it.

It still seems like you have a huge lack of control and psychological issues to work on before that can happen though.

I mean wasn't it just a year or 2 ago that you heavily believed you were a reptilian hybrid and had enhanced intelligence and knowledge from that? Now through God you want to help science and people out...but what's stopping you from seeing something you think is a sign and just using that as an excuse to take $? I think the following God part now has a better grounding for you at least...but still shows you are ready to jump in, disregard previous beliefs and think there are signs for you.

Are you getting any psychological help, or do you feel you don't have to?

If Justin, then good job in at least opening up and admitting your wrongs. Maybe you can at least keep in touch with the victims, and help them out over time.

and ofc to anyone who does contact this person...make sure to be very careful in doing so.
