I should have made this earlier didn't think it would clog up the transfer thread so much. I'll post all updates here.

So I did a Trade with Midnightsmoker (his ft $764 for my cake) FT froze my account pending further investigation.

Found out midnightsmoker is a jimbo crushstar and many more banned 2p2 accounts also.

Jimbo says FT froze his account too due to making a trade with "iwontbluff1"

Iwonbluff1 tells jimbo his account got hacked etc etc (I didn't really pay attention to this part as I think hes lying) if you want full details

I talk Jimbo into sending me $200 back to cake.

Looks like you're in a huge mess... When will people stop doing transfers, I don't care if you know the person or not, stop doing transfers.

I think the 2p2 forum is the safest way to do transfers, Its very rare you have any problems if you read advice given in the first page of the transfers thread.

I'm still waiting to hear back from FT security Most likely I won't lose any money from this.

easier said than done . Sometimes you need it . But I just did a search on all the names mentioned . And the earliest join date was Aug. 2008 . And midnight smoker joined like a month ago . I feel for ya fourkings but have you read the OP? And did you google or search this site for the people you traded with ? May be you shouldn't trade with someone who has 23 posts in a months time .

He sent first and It was for his FT funds which I have never heard of fraudulent funds being passed.
I was also desperate to get rid of my cake funds.

Well good luck . It always sucks when a scammer prevails . Did you see the WGC Rider thread where he got burned by a guy sending first on stars? JUST BECAUSE THEY SEND FIRST IS NOT FULL PROOF !

You're right for the most part, but the WGC situation has been discussed at length, and the consensus seemed to be that this was a big difference between FT and Stars - FT won't allow new members to transfer funds, unlike Stars, and there's been virtually no reports of fradulent funds having been sent from a FT account.

I guess what I'm saying is that this a pretty rare situation, and fourkingbs' situation is one that a lot of traders might have found themselves in. Much like the way WGC's thread has cooled people on the idea that they are safe with Stars funds that were sent first, this situation may do the same for people trading FT funds.

I am normally a very responsible trader in fact I checked with FT before I traded/swapped here is a email from 3 or so months ago:

Thank you for your e-mail. As you have been a member of Full Tilt for a long time and have spent a great deal of time on our tables, it is unlikely that your account would be closed for such activity.
Having said that, please note that if you do become associated to a fraudulent player, whether it be for sharing the same computer as this player, or receiving funds from them, your account may be temporarily suspended until we have resolved the issue.
In order to avoid such an issue I recommend that you only transfer funds to and from your account with players who you know in real life and who you can be sure are legitimate.
If you have any further questions on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact us.

So after rereading this email it seems is just a matter of time before my account is back to normal and It look even less likely I will lose from this.

I have been talking to "Jimbo" all morning, trying to fund out what really happened. He gets upset when i confront him with the idea that there is no one else and he just made up the other person.

here is the problem:

i sent to him after i recieved 200 from "iwontbluff1" who i have talked to on aim and claims his money was hacked or whatever. i understand that adn realize that 200 will probably be taken from him.

*my account name has been deleted* thinks im making all of this up and is threatening that once the FTP gets back to him that he wont send my money back kuz he thinkgs im trying to scam him.

he already recieved the money he sent to me on cake poker. as i sent it back and he emailed cake and they sent it back to him.

i would like the remaing -200 that was sent to to be put back into my account as i have done thing wrong here and would like my hard earned money

After talking to Jimbo for the last few days and seeing cmoneymakers PM and now this post above I think Jimbo has made the iwontbluff1 story up. Just need the proof now

I traded mid three figures with him FTP for AP with good vig and him sending first (this was about 6-12 hours before you started posting about him and he was linked to jimbo crushstar). Haven't had any problems on either end with FTP or AP.

He PM'd me the next day asking to do $500 more same sites.
