Nice to see a win for private citizens in the end, though obviously sick this stuff can happen at all.

Civil forfeiture really is an abomination. Glad to see they won in the end but absurd they had to go through court in the first place

Civil forfeiture would be the correct term, but between steal and confiscate, steal is the more accurate term here.

You are STILL a bigger POS scumbag than these guys will ever be for perpetuating the selfish, misguided, and disgusting notion that voluntary non violent interaction should be prosecuted and is somehow hurting your image as a "poker player."

You would rather perpetuate the current paradigm and have people locked in cages for voluntary interaction involving a plant that you don't even know anything about over letting people interact peacefully as they see fit.

I don't care to try to refute your silly and naive argument that somehow these two people are hurting poker. Poker players have a clock work habit of hurting the game and its image enough without you interjecting your garbage opinion.

I will instead submit the argument that people like you hurt the whole of humanity. You feel that mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, and brothers should be in a cage and punished for the rest of their lives there after for a lifestyle choice. This disgusting practice of locking up non violent offenders destroys the family unit, America, and the world. You are simply covering your rear end from the backlash you deserve by saying you don't want to see them convicted. This is double speak, and you clearly would like to see them convicted because you are worried about the image of poker.

GTFO with your naive notions on the image of poker as some moral strong hold. As if the casinos you give your rake to are by any means ethical, you pious fool.
Well said.

I would add to that, that the appalling number of people getting locked up as a result of these misguided policies represent only a small fraction of the resulting suffering.

Indeed, the war on drugs is responsible for millions of children and innocent civilians being murdered, raped, and tortured every year. It is responsible for entire countries being ran by drug cartels, causing immense suffering in those countries and drastically lowering quality of life, crushing any hope of economic growth.

I would argue that this immoral war on drugs has caused more suffering than both World Wars combined, and anyone who has ever supported in anyway shape or form the prohibition of drugs is just as culpable for those children being murdered as the drug lord pulling the trigger.
