It is obvious who Airball has been studying. He will beat Berkey eventually. It will be a long siege and Airball will be victorious in the end. He knows when this will end while for Berkey it is totally open ended and without closure. He is eager and has already admitted that he is frustrated at the strategic delays that form the foundation of Airball's metagame.

Also, you're underestimating this a lot. Let's say Nik luckboxes his way to a win. The obvious excuse for team Berks is that the best HUNL player coached him.

Then Doug gets to say he took a poker ****** and coached him up to beat a guy who has his own training site and has been on countless streams/shows. Just the clicks alone are worth it for that.

He also gets to say "why use his training site, when the noob I trained in a week beat him.....go to my training site instead."

DP is smart and very cautious with these things, my guess would be he doesn't like the variance involved. Sure it looks good for him when airball wins, but in a not that huge of sample berkey wins a lot of the times as well. DP's previous challenges he's VERY concerned with making sure it's as sure of a W as possible.

And yeah, the way DP runs peoples names thru the mud just for a few clicks. Lecturing everyone on poker ethics incessantly then barely admitting any fault with Coinflex debacle. I've been around here since DP was a micro stakes guy, and him and his crew were total asshats even back then.

Berkey up 40k on the first break of this session. Landon Tice gripped with terror that this version of Nik Airball is much better than the first version. He's trying to soothe his fears by making awkward jokes about how Nik Airball actually got coaching from Solve for Why. It is a dud of a joke.

IMO, I don’t think either Airball or Berkey has a significant edge in this specific matchup. Also 100 hours of live play is not enough volume to determine anything.

I used to think Berkey was unknowingly scamming people and still do. But didn't think he would be this bad to start tilting being down 1 buy in or 250 bbs. Holy ****...

I suck at HU but there's no way that is a somewhat legit play, specially vs a dude who calls craises w 7 high flush draws.

Still rooting for him cause I think he is a good guy, but would be fun to see him get spanked too. Landon may end up with Doug after all, cause Berkey seems to want to destroy S4Y....

Nik Airball up 90k for two sessions so far.

His street psychology has deeply affected Berkey's mental state. The previous delays and breaks did strategic wonders. I wonder what psychological weapons Nik Airball is planning to be utilizing in order to marinate Berkey's brain into gooey stuff before the next session begins.

If the delays and breaks are strategic, that's not something to be proud of. It's weasel behavior and indicates the person is not financially or emotionally stable enough to be gambling for these sums. Win normal, or you get less credit. You do still get the money though, and Berkey can't be happy to be down against someone who will possibly skirt the rules and be as small as possible going forward.

Nik Airball should probably "play not to lose" the next 3 sessions. Play small pots and tank and tank and tank and tank and tank and tank....in order to get Berkey feeling impatient, induced into plunging wildly. Then Airball can do counter-punching till the end of the match. Pow! Pow! Pow!

I highly doubt this will happen. Airball has very little to gain by playing me (there's no clout in beating a retired poker player) and I'm not a well-known player, so it's not like the fans are gonna be beating down the door to watch this match.

That said I would be happy to play him. HUNL is the greatest game and the two dealer setup we have for HU matches at the Lodge looks incredibly fun.
