Well the admin has it in his signature as well so I doubt it has anything to do with 'contractual agreements'.

Yes. Ira Rubin is in jail right now, for example.

Bitar and Burtnick, the two FTP employees who were indicted are not in jail and have not faces their charges yet.

With 5K on FTP and 5K worth of points, its amazing how I just want this resolved and done.

I cannot win on Stars and hate, HATE, playing on non-rush tables.

If Stars brought out Rush tomorrow I would gladly forfeit my FTP holdings. Building a roll is not the hard part, finding a good game is.

Here's some raw facts:
  • The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was enacted in 2006.
  • The United States Department of Justice (DOJ), warned online operators of repercussions for violating the UIGEA.
  • Some operators (ie. PartyPoker) decided to heed the warning, and ceased operating in the U.S. market.
  • Some businesses continued operating, but segregated player deposits by forming separate accounts, effectively layering protections for their business operations.
  • Other businesses failed their customers miserably, by both not putting into place important safeguards protecting player deposits, and by making continuous, unethical and high-risk decisions that would ultimately lead to failure.
  • The DOJ acted on April 15, 2011, shutting down U.S. Poker sites, and indicting Executives of several sites, and payment processors, for numerous violations of the UIGEA.
  • The Alderney Gaming Control Commission (AGCC) is a licensing body of online operators, including Full Tilt. In a section of it's mission statement, the AGCC pledges a commitment to PLAYERS of online operators that it licenses, withstanding assurances of, among other things, protecting player deposits.
  • The Alderney Gaming Control Commission has offered no explanation as to how it's largest Poker operator was allowed to continue doing business, while consumers were being bled of cash, and denied even the most modest customer service.
  • The DOJ made no obligation with consumers directly, and continues working toward settlements with Operators that, for lack of better way of saying it, "have their schidt together".
  • On September 6, 2011, the DOJ released unspecified player funds from one seized PokerStars account back to PS.
  • Because of uncanny timing, and great political pressure to produce new revenues, it's widely anticipated that the Debt Super Committee will recommend legalizing, regulating and taxing online poker, in it's report to Congress due this November. Optimistically, U.S. online poker sites could be operating again by January 2012.

Never knew how to explain that feeling but this quote is spot on.

They ara big ewallet which the DOJ hit the same way as stars and ftp.

In the end Neteller paid back all US customers and continues to one of the 2 major ewallets used for pokersites (along with moneybookers).

They also paid a huge fine.

iirc, Neteller kept everyone in the loop while it was going on though, as apposed to these shady silent ****ers

Six months if I remember correctly.

Neteller made funding and withdrawing from poker sites so easy it was almost too good to be true....

Not silent but communication wasn't great, and general support ended up not taking US emails (they set up a seperate email for it).

Cause im not no american I don't remember the details in relationship to communications that well.

There was a long wait but it did get paid. It was in the terms of many months from memory, but the commitment was always there unlike with FTP who says they need money to pay back. Neteller could afford it.

I was very optimistic about the funds the first 2 months but i'm not sure we will get paid soon, i just try to stay busy playing elsewhere rather than waiting everyday for a press release.

Now, if you ask me about the software, i'm confident we will be playing again using the same software. It could be under the same brand or a new one, it will have a new management team, the player base will be reduced by that time but it will be larger than most small networks anyway.

I believe FullTiltPoker will be sold, either at premium price or at BK auction, it will not just disappear like many predict. I see it's value on the software flexibility/popularity, recognition and player base more than anything else.

Some people like to predict disaster and scare people off, i wouldn't take their words seriously specially when their sources cannot be verified. Some people have a hidden agenda, some get paid to post and trash competitors, and some are just looking for attention. Just stick to the facts, use common sense and have a lot of patience.
