Not sure where you got any of that.

The DOJ never losing part is something that has been said hundreds of times on here over the past year. How they are an unbeatable goliath and they always get their man and fighting them is meaningless. Been said TONS of times

and I've seen several interpretations like this just in the past few pages

My guess is that they are saying that the banks didn't lose any money and their players didn't lose any money, there is no claim.
So thats where I got "any of that"

Just stop telling people how they should act and behave. Not everyone is a rational thinker.

You're very annoying in this regard.

He is right though. People popping in too lazy to scan a few pages and actually learn something. Throughout this thread there is a wealth of interesting knowledge shared from a wide range of experience and expertise. There is not a person out there that could not learn a lot about a lot.

On the other hand we have add emotionalists who can't even be bothered to read anything and ask for spoonfed cliffs. Add in the hyper emotional likes of you who no relevant experience or knowledge to share and just attack people out of blind ignorance.

People should not be asking every fifth post for cliffs because they are too lazy to read. Sometimes I wonder how the young poker collective survives. People claim it is important to them but can't be bothered to read a page or two when they want to know something. Whenever I come back to the thread I read the last page. 95% of the time that is enough to get the gist on the latest happenings. In cases where a lot has happened you can then go back a few more pages.

Stop advocating it is okay for people to be super lazy and super ignorant just because it is your chosen lifestyle.

i think people who use the phrase 'inside source' in this thread should basically lose all credibility, and more importantly, posting rights within the thread. oh, and your little conspiracy theory? lame.

A good example of the difference between reading and understanding.

Like those people that can't be bothered to read DF's article and see that Bitar and the DoJ came to a bail agreement. Yeah, those people should stop posting in this thread.

Assuming PokerStars is making the same argument that Lederer et al filed today, that poker isn't a game of chance nor on the list of games prohibited by the IGBA and therefore can't trigger the UIGEA, then no, they don't have a legit defense.

A Federal judge just last week heard the same arguments in NY against a B&M club and ruled against them, at one point saying that Congress intended to include poker on the list but were likely embarrassed to include it since they play it themselves:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/57...fense-1217933/

But PokerStars doesn't seem interested in not paying the fine, they seem more than willing to pay a 'tax' on past earnings as long as they don't have to admit to having broken any gambling laws which could prevent them from ever getting a license when/if poker becomes regulated in the US.

My fault, I interpreted their filing to possibly mean 'even if we did all that, no one was damaged', but Gioco pointed out that it more likely means 'even if we did all that, it's not against the law'.

That was already debunked last week. It was a video from over a year ago.

First one is pokerstars. Next two, I'm not sure. I'm going to guess that is a player that made a claim. Forth and fifth relate to a motion about AP/UB.

Am I still able to Learn, Chat and Play With the Pros at FTP?

So is this pretty much all she wrote for today? What are the chances we re-enter radio silence for more than a week?

Only if you are playing at the WSOP in Vegas.

I realize that this thread has become speculation central, but after seeing hundreds of posts/comments like "OMG there could be answers filed today, lets keep watching and have at least 1000 people refresh their pages every 1.65 seconds for 24 hours to see if there is an answer filed" and then people realize that a claim/answer WAS filed by PS and others, and a new sequence of posts start from those same people, saying "OMG, an answer was filed, what does that mean now and what do we do about it?" , I can only shake my head in disbelief. I mean seriously?

Seriously? I know we should just wait and see what happens. But for some of use, like me, who have mid 5 figures stuck, but are nearly broke in real life this **** is real important. Yeah, I know we shouldn't depend on this money and write it off already. But it sucks when you spend most of your savings just before BF and plan to use the money on FTP for my last year of college and build up a nice future. I just graduated and I can tell you its ***** hard to find a good job right now.

Yeah, I am way to emotionally invested in this whole thing. Sorry for this stupid rant post.
