I'm sure he has billions on WCG and would love to hedge at 5.5:1. I know he at least hustled me out of 2k in this "challenge"

ok guess it's just a personal issue of mine then. my feeling would be that if klink thinks wcg has an edge and wants to bet on his friend, then go ahead. if not, try to prevent wcg from playing sauce like a real friend would and don't go around offering 5.5:1 on sauce here with tons of people claiming he hustled them in the past etc. wtv it's his shenanigans (and whoever takes his offer I guess)

Pretty sure he was kidding with the money > friends comment but yeah what into2ndwind said especially if he was only looking to solidify the profit I'd already made him...

WCG would probably hedge against himself if he got 5.5:1

Not sure why anyone would have a problem with klink offering 5.5:1. If someone wants to bet they'll bet, if they don't they won't w/e, stop derailing the thread.

What's wrong with offering meth? If someone wants to buy it, then w/e. Right?

Basically, what you're saying is that it's fine to exploit someone's ignorance/stupidity/weakness...to a negative EV result for that person.

You're saying that the person offering something has no moral responsibility to take into account weaknesses in others that lead to potential exploitation.

The example I give is extreme, but it follows exactly the same logic as what you said; the difference is of degree, not kind.

It's just to show that your "reasoning" is completely flawed.
Actually, if you ever found yourself on the losing end of such exploitation techniques, you'd be the first one to scream injustice and argue the exact opposite point to the one you made.

And trust me...someone as dumb as you will find himself on the losing end of such situations many times in life.

Next time you get taken advantage of, remember the argument you just made today.

Not anymore, I moved back to the US to change fields; but I did for a decent amount of time and still study poker in the context of Game Theory since it's relevant to what I do now.

If you're asking this to gauge whether I have a practical understanding of what's at stake for a pro poker player, the answer is yes, I totally understand; however, it's completely irrelevant to the point I was making.

Actually, I'm even certain that some (obv not the majority) HS pros would shy away from the type of blatant scumbag exploitation Klink was resorting to ("Hey, in case you have no idea what you're doing, pm me and I'll quietly **** you over away from the crowd").

I've hopefully got a decent reputation, which can be vouched for by several other reputable people, and I would like to re-iterate, I would HIGHLY recommend not dealing with him without a neutral escrow.

At this point I consider the money stolen, have the PM trail and transfer history to prove it, and am considering all options.

In other news: People pulling scumbag moves are actually scumbags.

LOTF, i think he was trying to point out the fact that poker is all about exploiting someone's weaknesses. which, however, is a completely different scenario imo. anyway, im done with derailing this, but i personally don't believe what klink is doing is right.

Looking to bet on WC to win on all hands after session one. In other words, WC must win the challenge by at least $226,716 for me to win the bet. I am looking to do this at around even money. PM me if you are interested in taking Sauce. Looking to bet up to $2k.
