Doug's still kind of young (relative to some of us, and certainly Doyle). In ten years he'll probably react differently to such a challenge.

He's not just a normal person, he's also a legend in the poker community. And Doug wasn't being disrespectful, all he did was challenge him to a game. But not the way I would have handled it, being less confrontational in my old age, and seeing no upside in it.

What is with DN with the cussing and bad beat video? Did he really expect to win? The results so far are totally predictable. They also show DN is a strong player. Many old school players or tournament players would do much worse against DP.

Doug should not have responded, and just taken it on the chin. Even though the backlash about Doyle is exaggerated, there is at least some percentage of truth to it.

No-one is above criticism, and as a commentator it's quite a valuable attribute that Kaki doesn't hold back.

Had to switch from the gg stream yesterday as there was basically no commentary on the match whatsoever. Pretty much the entirety was that troubled Dunning-Kruger kid spouting off. Compare that with what we got from Nick Shulman the other day on upswing; night and day.

I'm basically an obsolete old schooler at this point, but from what I know, Dnegs call was close to mandatory. Great hand to call with, there's a metric **** ton of bluffs in Doug's range (but also a lot of value). Doug shoved for like 33k into 53k iirc. Kind of just was what it was.

Bill Perkins called-in to Joey's stream Monday to talk briefly about his 4:1 prop bet for an eventual DNegs victory.

Bill's audio may be difficult to understand without headphones, so here's a partial transcript.

Basically, Bill Perkins believes Daniel is unlikely to 'tap out' even if he's behind by $1 million after 12,500 hands. In such a case, Bill thinks he may be able to get 13:1 odds for Daniel to finish out the match.
