Last year I followed as much of the final table as i could online. It just seems a lot more interesting getting the input from more hands, and a feel for table dynamic.
Also, you may get more out of the TV coverage. I remember sweating online the early AK-AQ hand with IDvsDP, then getting to see the hands on TV and thinking 'oh sick he had AQsooted.'

i found last year having the audio on in the background while playing was a good way of dealing with it rather than avoiding the world for 2 days and as it turned out it was the only way to know how lucky eastgate was to win

With millions of dollars at stake; what do you imagine goes on behind the scenes for that extra day+ that they are off.

They get time to regroup if they were tilting, but more importantly youd think theyd hire people to analyze final table play and coah them for the heads up match which resumes the following day.

I guess there is even a chance that the 2 players broker some sort of a deal to chop some of the millions and play for the title and some additional money

How about the associates they already have, why would they need to hire someone? I'd assume there was coaching and discussion of the players in the 100+ days before the final table resumed? The final two players would already be guaranteed $5m, why would they give up any of that money to hire someone?

Do you think Demidov and Eastgate got together in the hours before they resumed heads-up play and made a deal last year?

Less than 24 hours. Which means this year, it'll be less than 48 hours before they resume.

VERY TRUE. Thanks for pointing that out.

I am more of a translator than a questioner, I am part of the minority that find him highly intelligent. I was just noticing that the majority for some strange reason do not see this, and had one of my usual misspellings while doing so. If my intelligence were a benchmark there would be lots more geniuses in this world, also if my spelling dictates my intelligence then I should be wearing a helmet full time.

I see Chainsaw as one of those super rich guys who drives around in a beat up old station wagon to avoid flaunting or even hiding his true wealth,
only with intelligence.

cant imagine ppl who actually try and keep the results a secret. it's not that i mind how ppl choose to spend their time, just the amount of effort required seems baffling...

Last year there was a live audio feed with a graphic showing the seating and chip counts. If this happens, I'll tune in for some of it.

It doesn't take a lot of effort at all to avoid finding out who one, or in this case, who gets to heads-up, before the ESPN coverage.

I want Gobo and Mikon to announce the ME FT. Their HORSE coverage was spot on.

So you get 6000 players together and make them play full table to determine the best/luckiest 9 full table players. And then you make them play short-handed & heads-up to determine a winner. Remember how DN's idea of making the HORSE final table hold'em only was criticized, it's kinda like that. They get this far and then you make them play a different game to pick the winner.

Wouldn't it actually make more sense to make the november nine play full-table to the end? Such that once a player busts, he reloads and stays in the game, and the last player to bust is the winner. You could even give out places 2-9 based on least money lost or something, so that busted players still play to win after reloading. I know that would never happen + would be boring, but it's the logical continuation of picking a winner after days worth of narrowing down the best full table players.

I await your funny and degenerating comments to this ridiculous suggestion.

I doubt anyone will waste their energy, but I've got lots at the moment...

If you had just been knocked out in 9th, would you really want to sit back down with play chips.
If someone does decide to sit back down. What happens when he chips back up and knocks out the remaining players. Despite stacking all the players at the table, he is still 9th.
What happens if..... oh, I can't be bothered any more.... clearly it's more than energy required to reply...
