I have no problem with you exposing me, my posts speak for themselves. I deliberately painted you into this corner using your own reasoning. Now you are flailing and the only refuge you have is trying to play semantics that you didn’t use the word compare when that’s exactly what you did by implication.

Like you said this conversation isn’t going anywhere. I do not consider Jungleman’s behavior unethical and you do. Pretty much all there is to it. I’m not going to try to feign moral or intellectual superiority or attempt to turn an ethical dialectic into a pissing match.

Congratulations you win. If that’s what you want to hear lol.

Perhaps a loose analogy would be the college admission scandal that broke open a year ago. The owner of the poker account is the equivalent to the parents – Lori Laughlin, Douglas Hodge, et al – who hired the services. Jungleman is roughly akin to Mark Riddell, the guy who took the College Board tests in the name of the kids.

Now, one can argue into the night as to who is more in the wrong, but it should not be ignored that both parties acted fraudulently.
Just out of curiosity. Where would the celebrities kids fit into your analogy? Would they be BP / DB? Would they be the the +EV gained?

Epy is good dude whose creativity I have enjoyed over the years

At the same time the MOFO always thinks he is either right
OR can talk you into seeing his point of view as right

Will try every twist of wording like he is working a verbal photoshop program and trying to force that Matusow cutout into a Dnegs body.

Seems like an alright dude, maybe just takes himself a little too seriously. I will admit I am very similar in this regard. I can see where we could go in circles forever where it would devolve into a very pedantic debate.

Waiting to hear for thoughts from more of the high stakes community on this.

Ah, good point. The kids probably should be the analog to the account owner.

In reality, they're more like the chips.

And just when I thought the thread was running out of steam ... Strained analogies FTW!

They both went to a fair bit of effort to sort out their grubby scam and implement it.
#1: The guy who set up his account so the pros could play on it is a scumbag.
#2: However, so is Jungle, as he obviously does this on a semi-regular basis.

My question to anyone defending him or claiming "it's all part of the game" is this.

Under what circumstances should you be allowed to stop Jungleman joining your game? Are you saying that there are none? If Jungleman, or any of these other slime decide that the stakes are worth it, should they just be allowed to join and play? Daniel Cates sees you are playing poker, Daniel Cates feels that since he plays poker as well and is better than you, he is entitled to your money. You should have no way of stopping him, no recourse when he does and should simply expect it?

Cause that's what it really comes down to.

I'll accept this as fair criticism. It surely will not surprise you that this has been said about me IRL as well. It makes me think about why I want to get into these debates on the internet and why I even post on 2+2 these days, and the conclusion is I don't see any good reasons to do so.

If someone joins that you don't want to play with, just quit that game.

A very ingenuous response, since the whole point is what if that person is disguised as somebody you do want to play.

Plus, that means if you set up the game, gather your friends or other players, vet who is joining and Jungleman shows up, you are the one that has to leave?? Does that sound fair? What other parts of life does this apply to?

I'm picking guy 2, all day every day.

Trick question, the daughter will date the neck tattoo guy anyway
