It's just a rehash of the same story that China's been running with.

Pokernews is reporting that Gaming Intelligence is reporting that Tapie emailed high ranking FTP staff members with job offers. FTP employees headquartered in Ireland declined, employees have been told deal with Pokerstars moving forward.

Thanks for the updates, I know they are optional and please disregard the trolls.
I don't think calling him on his **** with regards to speculation is trolling.

He's been lead on by a bad source in the past, and his 'vetting' of his current source/leak seems to be comprised of him saying 'yo, I heard this, tell them I'm legit' to someone of his own choosing. It's like if a candidate gets their best friend to tell the world how great they are.

That being said I hope, for our sake, that he's right.

Well it's all were getting for info, instead of being kept in the dark the whole time!

I just want to know how a forum full of poker players can have this many people fooled into thinking that placing an even-money wager on this counts as putting his money where his mouth is.

Ok, what I'm trying to say is it's all in your mind that you are getting new information by reading these articles. You somehow think you aren't in the dark anymore because you read this article, when in reality, you didn't learn anything new from reading it. It just makes you feel better because someone put some words on the internet that just regurgitates speculation formed on the forums and unknown sources.

But, w/e. I'm not going to get into a whole conversation about it. You can respond to what I said, but I'm going to drop this topic from here.

Not sure if I'm reading this right, but does this mean Taipe is moving ahead with his own site? I hope it fails so hard into the ground, French scoundrel.

Did he actually book some bets at 1:1 or did he just offer it? He would be a fool to not try and get the best price possible. No?

Well, there has to be some sort of "reality" to these things we are hearing. More than one source is saying it.

Yeah, he booked over 2k worth I believe?

No actully I meant the opposite, that FTP should have on file all the transactions whether they went thru or not, for folks to retrieve the info. At least that's what the situation SHOULD be. And I hope it is

Hey, something I have been wondering who is this buy that Chinamania had back him in his statements? This Dan Druff guy or whatever? What's his background, is he a good source or just another SM wannabe?

That's what I mean. Why should he offer a price of 95:1 when the market will pay 1:1.
05-17-2012 , 04:02 PM
I don't know, you'd have to ask him....
05-17-2012 , 04:13 PM
What are the odds China boy disappears when he loses his bet? I might be willing to bet on that if the price is right.

I just want my money. I dumped about 30k plus into FT over the years and I have about 15k there now FWIW. This whole thing is really frustrating, especially considering 6 months after BF I went broke. Sighhhhhh FML

Something I have been thinking.... The DOJ may be thinking, "well it's been over a year since this happenend. I'm sure most of these people who were pros or were depending on that money have recovered now." So they could take their sweet ass time with this deal until the perfect deal arrives at every point they want it to. Does anyone else think this?

Yes, in the email as reported, Tapie laid out plans to write a new poker software platform and relaunch using a new brand. I believe this has been discussed earlier in the thread.
