Even if Chinamaniac's source is correct, it doesn't mean there'll be an announcement this week. I would expect it to be delayed, just because that's how these things usually go.

If I had to guess, it seems like a tantrum/stunt on his part. I dunno. From the beginning with GBT, he's always been very careful to phrase things in such a way that his requirements are absurdly specific (for example with Tapie's offer to hire Pocket Kings Staff: He only agreed to do it if all senior PK staff came along. What are the chances that actually happens?) so that way when one little corner case of his ultimatum/deal/offer/whatever isn't met, he can walk away.

I have been out of the loop. This is all news to me and I appreciate all that are sharing. I know a lot of you have known about all this for weeks but some of us have not.

You said your "sources" told you this on May 1.
Without quoting sources, I can say that on May 1, it was hopeful that an announcement would have happened by now (in which case you would have said you were right).
I can also say with some authority that on May 1, had any negotiations been finalized, there would have been no delay of 3 weeks in announcing it just to make you right.
That said, there could be an announcement tomorrow, or any other day, hopefully soon, within May.

And fwiw, the calendar third week of May ends on the 19th. Also, imo, "ballpark" doesn't qualify for the bet you were willing to make.
