i used "God" for two reasons, a) it's the most common in the united states, and b) saying "allah spoke to me" is probably already disqualifying in US politics.

if a person is that deep in the weeds that they are saying their deity actually spoke to them directly and told them to do something they shouldn't be in charge of anything.

So is having a net worth of $10M+ (and often $100M+) after 20 years of making $150K/yr, like a lot of politicians do.

But people that talk like this, or very similar, are in charge of a lot of important things. And the course of action you seem to prefer this will increase, not decrease. Embracing far left ideology and tribal zero sum thinking at the expense of liberalism, is going to ultimately make the country, and the world, more tribal, ignorant and religious. All of it seems relevant.
