To elaborate. In this day and age, the undeniable extra innovation that would occur with almost pure capitalism does not figure to make up for the difference in wealth disparity. It wasn't true 80 years ago because wealth disparity was much smaller and the innovations that were on the horizon were more important than most of the ones now, and they were coming at us at a much faster rate than now. In other words if the price of making sure that no one is suffering means a small slowdown in innovation it was a price perhaps not worth paying in 1940 but probably worth it in 2024.

You have to believe that these pro Hamas protests have motivated Israel even more to finish the job.

Just piggy backing this. Don't think Mossad hasn't gathered intelligence on each of these rioters.

I feel bad for those innocent people of Palestine. These criminals don't represent them. The life conditions for Gazans is about to get far worse because of these idiots. Meanwhile, here in the Americas they didn't move the needle a bit. I hate to say it but nobody here cares about Palestine. Obviously, some of the anti white, marxist disenfranchised college students do only because it gives them something to protest.

A fascinating thing I've been seeing is that the more the bodies pile up, the more bloodthirsty the apologists get. "Might makes right" is an ideology that snowballs as you continue beating up your victim.

2 Israeli soldiers killed last Sunday brought the total to 263 killed since the ground invasion started.

Mossad gathered intelligence on the students that protested South African Apartheid in the 90s. and not just the leaders. everyone in the crowds. ofc they have intelligence on these people.

For a week after October 7th the world was on Israel's side. Then Israel started bombing Gaza and people started to question how they were conducting the war. Now the world, mostly the west is back with Israel. They see who the true enemy is. Israel knows this and can now more confidently do what needs to be done.

There are people in this thread who have literally said that opposing Israel's actions should be grounds for banishment *at least*. When your position is support someone no-matter-what, you have to adjust as the situation develops. 'Defending itself' and 'most moral army' became tricky and some people moved on to 'kill any wrong-thinking person'.

I'd normally agree with this, but not here.

The apologists claim the moral high ground by accusing opponents of siding with Islamofascism over the lone so-called democracy of the Middle East.

I'm just warning folks in here who may attend one of these riots that AI makes it easy to identify people even those wearing masks.

It's not good and I'm not happy about anyone being killed, certainly not Israeli conscripts, but my point was that it's not that many. Victor's notion that Hamas is winning in some military way is wrong and also not healthy for the people of Gaza. I suspect there are a lot of people in or 'allies' of 'the resistance' who think this.

Arab "media" consistently greatly exaggerates Palestinian military success. Most of the Arab non English speaking world believes Hamas is giving a good account. Also, true to the saying that if you tell a lie long enough you will start believing it yourself, the Arab world has convinced itself that 10/7 was a righteous operation against Zionist military targets, and there was no civilian atrocities.

It really is unfortunate for the Palestinians that their own media/propaganda is doing their best to keep Hamas in power, widely supported internally and externally in the Arab world, and keep the Palestinian future as bleak as possible.

So maybe 5 people were injured? In Iraq 4400 US soldiers killed and 32000 wounded in action. You'd expect more injuries than death.

I can't find wounded in action since the ground invasion, but about 3100 Israeli soldiers reported wounded since and including 10/7.

The death toll of IDF would be much higher if they conducted this war in a way anti Israelis think they should. Israel has no obligation to do this. They were the one attacked. I haven't seen many rocket attacks from GAZA lately. Most of the country is cornered in Rafah. I'd say the Israelis are doing fine.

Over the next 50 years more Israelis will be killed because of the way they have conducted this war.
