PokerStars Sit & Go Changes: Effective May 6th, 2011 - Page 7 - Internet Poker

Even the apparent decreases are not really. Rake for HU games has also gone up in real terms, and not just by a little. I used to grind 55+2.50 (4.5% rake) turbos which are now 50+2.02s (4%). They previously had 5 min blinds and now have 3 min blinds. That is a 40% reduction in play time with only a 12% reduction in rake. That is despite claiming this in their FAQ:

So OP, can you please justify the quoted claim in view of the above. I'd also like to hear the numbers this one is based on:

The structure is different, not faster. The increase in blinds during each level change is much smaller. The overall pace of the Sit & Go is not significantly different.

And husng lobbies have stopped respawning.

Edit: rematch button is back, and I notice the nbi guys still get to reg up as many games as they like. Awesome

Please explain us why the rake is higher?? Explain to the sng grinders why for months u talked about rake redution and now its higher??

and explain to us why should we remain at PokerStars? I really dont see how..

Steve, do you have any ETA to add Hyper game to all level if it works well at 5$ now? Really love that structure and hopefully you can add to more levels ASAP!

A lower rake will be appreciated as well.

husng new blind structure is bad. Hitting the 50 blind level earlier will make huge difference. Games definitely going to end more quickly so not sold on the decreasing of rake given that games finish mroe quickly.

stars saying games will take as long is 100% lie unless they are idiots.

Looking at the lobby it looks like they have stopped allowing people to reg multiple 45 and 180 mans at the same buyin. A step in the right direction imo.
