PokerStars Sit & Go Changes: Effective May 6th, 2011 PokerStars Sit & Go Changes: Effective May 6th, 2011

In a 18´s opinon (mine ofc) just for a session..

Negative:

- Blinds Struture: Late game is sick. 5m comeback plz
- Timebank: like wtf? 15s is enough
- Higher Rake: lies of droping rake
- Please put the 21.70 in the low stakes tab to generate traffic
- Effective stack sizes becomes a joke after 100-200.. FTP doesnt has antes. You really just need to fix gap between 100-200 and 200-400

Positive:

- Buyins levels

"There will be an overall rake reduction in that if volume is the exact same as it was before at similar game types, less rake will be taken, but the overall rake reduction is slight and the changes are not always reductions for specific sit&gos. I'll have much more detailed information for you in the coming weeks." Oh wait...

Another Black Friday

All around improvement that would be loved by players and would definately increase the traffic, would also allow people to move up. No one would have reason to play anywhere else. try that for week or two and see what happens.
+1

the way the Stars Reps on this board talked about future changes of the rake on SnGs, no one expected that there would be turbos with more than 10% rake any more, maybe not even 8%

But 15 cent on 1$-turbos is pure raping, and 9 cent on 50c-turbos, wtf?
2 cent on 10cent-donkaments, lolol

There is significant negative feedback here. PokerStars will take some time to review this feedback in detail with open minds. Please allow some time for analysis but I will post here again to directly address the concerns that have been raised.

Please feel free to continue to post any and all thoughts about the changes as PokerStars will continue to monitor the thread.

Negative Feedback happens when you try to F over 90% of your remaining player base...Go back to old system, the just lower rake 10% on everything, and bam, perfection

Why did you add more low-blind levels? I wouldn't play turbo SNGs if I wanted to play post-flop poker. I understand the levels are now 3 minutes but overall the structure is slower in early game.

Why have you changed the payout structure in e.g. $1 45s? The old one: $14, $10, $7, $5, $4, $3, $2. The new one: $13.97, $9.67, $7.42, $5.62, $4.05, $2.70, $1.57. I really can't understand the motivation for replacing even payouts with random payouts.

Adding $1 180s seems like a really bad idea. The $2 buy-in was just high enough that you could make a decent living.

Not a huge fan of standardized buy-ins because it seems to lower most buy-ins. Buy-ins had already effectively decreased over the years due to inflation.

Huge timebanks in turbos seem weird right now. Not yet sure of the consequences.

The only positive change I can think of right now is 10% antes. Maybe adding levels between 100/200/20 and 200/400/40 is a good change too.

Overall I think the changes are just awful and should be re-evaluated fast. I really can't understand how you came up with them.
I'd like to add that if you really feel the need to smoothen the structure, you could just replace the old 75/150, 100/200, 100/200/25, 200/400/25 with 75/150, 100/200/20, 150/300/30, 200/400/40 keeping the number of levels the same. There aren't really any other big jumps, at least in 18s and 45s. The early levels definitely don't need changing.

I dun like that multiple KO games are shown in lobby after the change.
Please change it back
One game displayed in lobby at one time is enough.

Yes, fully agree! If this will happen I'll come back to stars immediately and generate $12K rake per month what I do on FullTilt nowadays.

I've changed my mind. I just final tabled a $10.85/180 and it's even more of a luckfest than it was before. The slower blind increases early on have been compensated for by ridiculous blinds in the final stages. I mean 12/6k blinds with 5 players still left. WTF?? Change it back please!

Indeed, this is so stupid. The new buy in options @180's is cool but the structure is just too fast now. (Anyway it's friday friday we so so excited but none of the 54$ 180s didnt even start at the peak hour, lol !)

MUST CHANGE !!

+super long timebank is ridiculous

The changes made to the buy-ins and rake% for $50 and lower games are so ridiculous that even I, a US player, am stunned at PokerStars' lack of appreciation of it's players.
I agree they haggled for months with that DON scandal before just coming out and doing the correct thing right away which would have saved the players so much time and anger towards them. I was expecting a rake structure similiar to that of what anssi had like 50+2.50, 100+5, 200+9, etc. to make the games beatable. In the long run it would encourage a ton more traffic and draw players from other euro sites which is a win-win for both pokerstars and the players.
