Well, it applies for most of the fishes. But there are some, who doesn't like to be deep not because it is "uncomfortable to play 250bb's", but just because "damn, this is lots of money, I don't wanna lose it". But as long as they can stand and rejoin with 100xbb - there's no problem.

One thing I'm missing in Zoom - filters. A couple of times I started 4xNL100 Full Ring tables jut by mistake - joy for the NL100 regs who could take care about my 4 bb's, but me, as a fish there, not so happy about that

Ill be honest, if im on a bit of a downswing, I dont want to play with anything over 200bb really, so when I get to say 300-1000bb I dont feel bad ratholing it.

If im doing ok though ill sit with whatever I build up.

Why are you apologizing? Anyone using basic bankroll management will be wary of risking 5-10 buy-ins at one table.

There are a lot of people ITT thread who are using some technical terms very loosely.

Ratholing 1: buying in for 20-30 bbs, doubling up to 40-60; leaving immediately.

Ratholing 2: HU table, wins significant pot, leaves.

Not ratholing: leaving a zoom session >1 bankroll ahead.

I have some questions for the people who are claiming there is a problem here (honestly, I am not being sarcastic with these, I just don't see where you are coming from):

At what point do you leave a Zoom session? Are you ever ahead when you do? If so, in what way does what you are doing differ from ratholing?

And on shortstacking. As every one knows, shortstacking, i.e. buying in for 20-30 bbs and leaving when you double-up, entails an inherent advantage against any players at the table who are playing for each other's big stacks.

But what is the inherent advantage of 50bbs? At most, it will mitigate the players disadvantage against stronger players.

I am happy to play against weaker players, even if they are attempting to limit their risk. Campaigning to force such players out of the game, or worse still, segregating them, is beyond stupid, imo.

Gonna go ahead and assume nothing additional will be done wrt the ratholing "issue," nor should there be.

this!!!

Btw. I was thinking about ratholing last session. A guy stacked me and was then about 200 bb deep. Some hands later I saw him with 100bb again. I thought of all those whiners ITT who are complaining about these "ratholers".
But who says that this guy did not just lose a stack the hand before? And what if he was playing 4 Tables and he has 400bb on table 1, 100bb on table 2 and 3 and 200bb on table 4?

Cheers

It appeared that the rake is higher than normal game?
I am not quite sure, but seems so!

Also, using the fast fold button , will it cost extra money on players?

The rake is the same, fast fold will cost you extra if you are folding playable hands

I have been playing 2 styles to see how it goes at zoom.
Here it's a graph of nl100 playing a 50bb strategy and ratholing everytime i'm >50bbs

And here a graph of nl100 playing a 100bb strategy without ratholing.

Personally it's pretty much difficult to profit playing 50bbs strategy and ratholing. While I played deep stacked I was able to outplay regs so hard and I got well rewarded.

Another issue I noticed is there is something wrong with the random assignment of positions while ratholing. While I played without ratholing I got a very uniform number in the positional assignment. And when I ratholed it was completely not equilibrated. There must be some bug with this.

thanks for info.
perhaps i just lost too much on tables, so attributed some to the " increase of rake" ,which is not he case .

Btw, no hand history can be retrieved cuz once I fold , the hand still played out without me.

Will Stars keep the hand histories ? Can i ask them back ?
