Neither one was of any help.

WSOP:

Borgata:

I have no idea why they sent me that response. I never had an issue with that message and it was not at all mentioned in my email. Very poor job by support on that one.

I have no idea what the WSOP guy means by "at least 2 other available wi-fi networks within range". I am connected to my internet via wi-fi. Am I suppose to see geolocation as another SSID to connect to? Very unclear. They should of laid out better instructions for what to expect on each site for location.
Basically they are saying your ISP provider could be showing your location as their main office in Texas or Pennsylvania, etc. This happens. It depends on whether you have a dynamic or static ISP as well. There is an option of asking your internet provider to change your connection data, sometimes even unplugging your router/modem might reset it. The "other" Wi-Fi locations wouldn't be from them, they could be suggesting you switch wifi connections if you have a choice.

Dealing with the geo location issues and the remote process issues this is pretty stupid. Also tried using mobile hot spot from my phone that is out of NJ to just think their geo location is messed up.

Got bad beat like 7 times playing for pennies and it was still pretty thrilling and a lot of fun, it's just nice to have poker back from the comfort of home. And truthfully from the comfort of almost anywhere now that free wifi is seemingly everywhere and we can tether off phones.

Just got email from Ultimate that the $5 bonus was in my account, but they still can't verify my location. Hope they get things corrected for the real launch in a few days.

But seriously, what is the deal with 888 and wsop? I see a lot of people interested in 888 here. I already see non-2plus2 100% limping fish at wsop, tilting in chat and all. I have a feeling wsop is going to be where it is at.

Can you sign up for both, tho?
It would be incredibly interesting to play you head-up

Unfortunately I can log on to nothing. I sent 888 a tax forum that they have to verify, wsop wont download when I click the link, Bogota has no cashier and ultimate simply doesn't load... so yea... where's your god now? (a joke)

i figure ill see what happens tomorrow, but it seems like things have to improve a ton for this to be ready in five days

I have a feeling WSOP is going to get the main action. The negative is they don't have the best VIP program. The best VIP program of all the sites right now is probably Ultimate Poker. However, if yesterday is an indicator of things to come you may not even be able to play.

I know what they are trying to say but they are wrong. Every trace of my IP for over three hours led me to new Jersey. Their software sucks and they need to get better at trouble shooting before launch. I'm going to try using a USB wifi adapter tomorrow rather than pci and if that doesn't work I can at least be mostly certain it's on their end.

Just on my observations after reading this thread it seems very unlikely we will be ready for a 26th full launch. These issues are going to takes weeks if not months to resolve.

I said "now", so I didn't count goldennugget, which hasn't yet got an OK from the NJ DGE to start. I also didn't count Tropicana/Gamesys as I'm almost certain they aren't offering poker (yet). So it's:

http://poker.theborgata.com/download.html (PartyPoker)
www.wsop.com (888)
www.888poker.com
www.letsplaynj.com (betfair-ipoker)
www.ucasino.com (UltimatePoker)

That's five right now.

I suspect wsop and 888poker will eventually pool. The hold up on that is Caesar's. They think they are better off going it alone on wsop.com.

I also think the sloppier the launch (hey it cant possibly get any worse) the more that builds a case for Pokerstars. I just feel like this wouldnt have happened had there been a more experienced operator.

My experience last night:

I tried WSOP & Ultimate. I tried both credit card first, then bank transfer.

I was able to deposit on WSOP but but they kept telling me I had software running in the back ground and I couldn't play. I'm going to call customer service tonight and try and get that resolved.

Ultimate- I was unable to deposit money. I could play there but there was zero traffic.

I didn't try Borgata or Party, they are giving a $20 sign-up bonus to those that wait until after trial/soft play ends.

Even with all the bugs I was happy to be part of the soft launch, I ended up depositing $200 on WSOP to test things out after Ultimate Poker couldnt get their geo-location working. It was nice to see there were a few guys already playing $1/$2 during the soft launch. One stupid thing I noticed was that you can't run 888 and WSOP at the same time even though they have different player pools. I noticed some minor things with the WSOP software, but nothing that made it unplayable. I did have a couple people end up sitting at my table for short periods with the location verification dropping.
WSOP had a 1/2 game, a .5/1, .25/.50 and a few micro games going, way more action then I though would happen during the beta. Anyone have action reports on the other sites?

We are in the same boat. Thou I made a small deposit just to see how things are going to work.

Geolocation issues plagued the Nevada launch and NJ has way more population on the borders. I doubt Stars could have done any better because they don't control these issues.

Can people who successfully deposited list what type of method/card was used?

My Chase United Airlines MasterCard was declined.
