Everyone able to get their identity verified easily?

Obviously this is just a soft launch to get out the kinks. But we are all degens doing whatever we can to get on, if the issues are not issues but rather just the way the verification will work, good luck getting any casual player base. They will give up long before any of us have.

Yes you can. Just make sure your computer has Wi-Fi enabled. You dnt have to be using the Wi-Fi, it just has to be on.

I don't understand this. What about a desktop that doesn't have wi-fi?

You don't have to be connected to wifi, your computer just needs to be able to see it.

Here are the steps I promised, let me know if it works fr you:

If you are having problems with WiFi on Windows 7/8 follow these steps to enable your WiFi adapter:

1.Open the Control Panel.
2.In the top right of the Control Panel open the View dropdown menu and select, Category.
3.Then select Network and Internet.
4.Select Network and Sharing Centre.
5.In the left column of the Network and Sharing Center, select Change adapter settings.
6.Right click on your WiFi adapter (will be called something like Wi-Fi or Wireless Network Connection) and select enable.
Thanks man. I figured this is what you were talking about, I was connected.

F Ultimate also, I just got off the chat with one of their "Aces".

First off he admitted this was obviously a widespread issue on their end. OK, whatever, soft launch.

Then I'm told the free $5 is only given out after the softlaunch.

IDK about you guys but that's massively insulting and ridiculous IMHO.

I'm going to be playing normal limits that coincide with 1/2 to 5/5 in live play buy in and pot size-wise, but while this was soft launch and beta I had exactly zero interest in linking my bank accounts and hard earned cash to glitchy trial run software on ran by default through IE and then after this trainwreck tonight it cemented me in that opinion.

It's amazing these guys want us to pay them to run their trials.

You would imagine they'd at absolute least run beta tests rake free.

What a crock of s**t.

Dude adamantly told me no one was giving the free promo money before the softlaunch was over either. So either he's lying or the few of you guys who have said you legit got through on WSOP and 888 and got your free $10 are full of it and/or just forum plants.

Needless to say Ultimate Poker pretty much just lost my business forever either through their own inadequacy and arrogance or because their chat support are cheeky liars.

Stupid question, but how can I do that on Windows XP?

I don't have XP, but trying to see how instructions might be different. If your computer is older without any Wi-Fi installed, you may need to go buy a Wi-Fi stick (I think they run about $8).

You need a wireless adapter on your computer. USB adapters can be had for ~$20 I think.

If you want to see if your ip is a problem go to http://www.iplocation.net/index.php

They will show the results from 3 or 4 different location services for your ip.

888 actually reminds me A LOT of FullTilt. Especially with the cartoon images and just the whole layout.

Also you can just run www.speedtest.net and it will tell you what server you are hosted by.

Well its good that you are enabled for the wifi anyway.

I wont call anyone a liar, but I have an email from ultimate that says my $5 will be credited immediately upon registering to try them out.

Tbh, haven't even tried playing yet because it was down earlier and I have been busy posting here ever since

He was mistaken. This is customer service's first day on the job, with lots of gitches. I say we cut them a little slack (all sites). If you don't get a satisfactory answer, just do what you would do anywhere else, ask to speak to someone else

Good luck

lol...three of the services have it right, and the other has me in Stratford CT (!)

What are the odds that that one's the service that the sites will be using

So glad I'm waiting this out for a couple weeks.

Very true, it just pissed me off that he's trying to tell me no site is giving the promo during the beta and was so sure of himself and even that there site isn't.

Just irks me when someone obviously knows they don't know what they're talking about but has to keep up the facade for whatever reason.

Meh, whatever, /end rant

Anyone know which of the currently available sites don't demand a cell phone? I am in contact with Ultimate regarding possible solutions since they call for one, but I will try other sites if I can do so without a mobile.

Thanks DF - It wasn't remote desktop ended up being Teamviewer that runs even though it's closed. It runs as a system file - absurd - I just deleted it - and will DL it as needed I guess. Or I'll have to look at MSConfig and see if I can disable it.
