or the ridiculous rake cap increases are the level, so they can graciously reverse those, while keeping W/C rake, making no other changes, and we feel like we won. the exact same thing happened on partypoker 4 months ago

A sitout won't do anything. The only thing that will change things is an extended exodus; cashout and don't play on the site for a few months. Anything short of that is a waste of time. Sorry for the dose of reality.

I will tell you the result of this sit out in advance: stars will announce that the VPP multiplication factor of FR sngs (x6) will be adjusted to SH (5.5) in order to lower the difference.

just an idea... could we setup a facebook campaign, and post it there and try get a big gathering. Don't know if it's possible to do this on facebook, but for those who don't use forums can atleast get to know about the sit out?

Facebook is the way...........!

The pokerstars.fr sitout a while back, albeit on a smaller network, was listened to and made a small difference, which was more than worth the effort as a first step. Sorry for the dose of historical evidence and optimism.

Sitouts have worked before. Blocking the **** out of $1/2+ NL and PLO 6max would get Stars attention at least. That's a lot of rake not being generated.

BANG. Stars gives a few pennies back to the micros but really more than makes up for it by killing the mid/high grinders.

Net gainer is Stars here by far. Mucho $$$$$ for Stars beginning 1Jan2012 with this new abomination rake.

that being said, i'll do it when everybody else does, i just don't think the date is optimal. Not sure about the time either, is 12pm est a time when there's lots of traffic?

Also, IMO, we should prepare a short sentence that every player can copy/paste in chat so randoms/non 2p2 will know what's going on

each player sitting out on 24 tables is gonna be a big pain in the ass.
+1

January 1st is no good

1st is one of the best possible dates imo... It's free from school/work for most people... and since a lot of ppl are probably hung over from NYE it means they're at home. It's not really that hard to open up 24 tables and sitout even when you're feeling like ****.

It's probably the best possible date there is in next few weeks.

+1 also momentum is important here. if there is a response from the community it should be quick
