Nobody chooses. Tywin will name a champion and then that person can accept or decline; obv will accept. But he won't name anyone who can kill Jamie and Jamie may be unable to fight now. So I think it is possible that the accusation is dropped entirely. I mean I doubt it since that would be really anticlimactic but if Jamie stands for his brother then man I just don't see any scenario where Tywin YOLO's his legacy.

Yeah, it's obvious he knows Tyrion is innocent. Would've been even better if he asked more questions to the witnesses, but he's got to reign it in a bit now that he's on Tywin's council.

I'm not sure whether the Iron Bank was persuaded by Davos' speech. But, it seems unlikely Stannis Baratheon is leaving Bravos empty-handed.
I think we do *know* they accepted through the scene in the brothel where Davos gives the pirate guy whose name I cannot spell aorn a **** load of coins. That wasn't walking around money.

The knight who killed Syrio and was Joffrey's lapdog throughout most of the series. He testified at the trial about when Tyrion threatened Joff after Joff had Sansa stripped and beaten.

Davos also told the pirate there was a whole chest full more for him that he gave to the pirate's wife.

Gonna need an explanation as to how Shae got back to KL, or if she never actually left, where she was.
05-11-2014 , 11:11 PM
i just geussed that Cersie (sp?) figured out she was leaving and didnt let her leave. And manipulated her someway.

The yara scene started of so good, so stealthy, then just went aids/cheesy real quick.

You almost posted that the show was average based on half an episode you didn't really like? Now you are all about it because of the 2nd half of this one episode. Seriously GTFO.

lmao yes, because i stated in there that i thought the whole show was getting average ONLY because of this half an episode right right right?? (Hint: when you fall out of love with something, its usually over a longish period time which is longer than 20 mins)

and then i also said that the whole show is brilliant and no longer average just because the half of an episode, right? (Hint: i said the second half of the episode is brilliant)

seriously GTFO and stop making things up, cretin.

Last edited by Burnss; 05-11-2014 at 11:35 PM. Reason: another hint: the show got a lil bit better. and the previous episodes were still avg

It seems likely since Bronn is still alive and hanging around King's Landing. He was evasive when Tyrion was questioning him about Shae's escape.

This possible connection between Cersei and Shae strengthens the possibility that Bronn will be chosen to represent the Realm.

Possible matchup for the Trial by Combat Bronn vs Hound

They had a bit of a feud going on back in "Blackwater" .Remember that entertaining little scene just before the battle. Bronn is telling one of his many 9/10s about his broken nose when The Hound walks in and they end up toe to toe with Bronn's hand on his knife after the Hound tells him that his Imp is gonna miss him.

Then, on the beach during the battle just before Hound deserts the battle, there's a dude on fire running at him, Hound freezes up and Bronn takes out the flaming dude with an arrow through the eye. Hound then watches Bronn take out like four dudes ninja-style, (Hounds size vs. Bronn's speed was part of their little tussle earlier) and then the Hound goes AWOL.

I always wondered if that scene was the end of that arc or if something more would come of it.

I almost hope I'm wrong so I dont get banned for being a book reader, seeing as how this is my first post ITT. But let me assure you all that is not the case. I hadn't watched any of this show until I finally downloaded HBO Go about four months ago, marathoned The Wire, then started in with GoT. Just caught up 3 episodes into this season, and after tonight, almost wish I had waited this season out as well.

That was the Hound, the mountains brother. So yeah you surely are not a bookreader

It`s pretty obv that it is going to be Oberyn vs the Mountain. There have been several scenes were Oberyn said he want`s revenge(Once to Tyrion and once to Tywin). The Mountain is the strongest fighter for Tywin and Tyrion knows that Oberyn would gladly accept to fight for him to get revenge. He gets a chance to kill the murderer of his Sister and her children with no repercussions.

Popped in here after the episode and instantly reminded why I don't read it.

Nobody's gonna mistake u for a book reader when you mistake a mountain for a hound. ..

you're thinking of the hound.
05-11-2014 , 11:44 PM
season is 60% over now
05-11-2014 , 11:44 PM
100% to be Oberyn vs. Mountain. Like every scene with Oberyn has been "The Mountain raped and killed my sister and that is only reason why I am here".
05-11-2014 , 11:45 PM
Yes, the Hound, sorry.

After correction, still a worthless theory?
05-11-2014 , 11:47 PM
Excellent episode.

Oberyn's line about the Unsullied was awesome.
