Anybody computer savy?

I am trying to get USB to HDMI from my pc to my television about 30 feet from my computer. However, I presume a simple a USB to HDMI cable will not work I need a converter. What specifically do I need to get USB to HDMI on my television? I need video and audio.

I'm looking into this from Amazon.de but want to make sure it will work with converting directly from CPU to my TV with audio and video. I have a long enough hdmi to hdmi cable already but I need a converter.

Probably everyone knows this (?) - That Fox song was produced (probably largely written) by a Norwegian team. They've produced hits for Selena Gomez, J-Lo, Rihanna, Mary Blige, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Chris Brown and some other popular people I haven't heard of. The Fox song was just supposed to be an intro to a season of a Norwegian talk show, but they just can't help making hits.

Nothing super remarkable - I'd like to be bragging about huge jobs already - but, these solar panels are powering a medical marijuana dispensary and grow operation. Thought some of you might appreciate that.

Green business imo

Just realized that my 5,000th post was this:

Spoiler:
That camera jockey is in the same spot where Aaron got his ass runned over by some NBA superstar during a game. Could very well be Noodleman. He also does "stand up" comedy, although this clip would suggest he's not too good at that standing up thing. Assuming, of course, that the dude tripping out is Noodle.

Epic? Regardless, my love and respect to y'all. With a few exceptions.

I use one of these for my mac at work and it works pretty well. it comes with three adapters. The one you linked should work fine too. Just make sure you install the correct drivers for whatever you pick.

Micro, do you guys have to get engineer approval to install on roofs? We ask for it here, but might just be because of snow loads.

Met this guy about 5 months ago at a bouldering gym and here is showing off.

If only there was some way to use the power of the sun to grow plants... Wait, I got it, Solar Panels!

These guys must be pretty damn high.

The yields indoor vs outdoor varies greatly and so does quality. If you want to be top dog in selling you need to grow indoor. Very rare do you find the perfect conditions outdoor and an experienced enough grower to even get close to an indoor grow by a mediocre grower.

Varies from city to city.

Most don't require it. A few require it no matter what. I've probably installed in over 50 cities and these are some of the triggers for engineering I've seen:

Over 3lbs per sq. ft. solar equipment on roof
Over 6lbs per sq. ft. solar equipment on roof
If it's a tile roof
If it's a full weight tile roof
If points of attachment on the rails are > 4' apart
If you cover more than 50% of the roof
If it's tilt rack
for commercial properties

I have heard something about snow load around here and it's possible that one of the counties I work in (LA/San Bernardino/Riverside/Ventura) require engineering above a certain altitude or in certain communities because of snow.

(los angeles county's highest point is 10,068'. san bernardino's is 11,502'. riverside's is 10,834'. ventura's 8,847'.)

the highest point in LA county is 10k feet? seriously? Thats higher than the highest point in Germany and they have the alps imo (or part of them)

The Zugspitze 2,962 m (9,718 ft)

skied at the top of it where there is a bowl (hard to tell from that pic). Had a great time until I figured out that if you break your leg up there, it is like a 1.5 hour tram ride back down to the bottom.

Wikipedia says:

" The highest point in the city [of LA] is 5,074 ft (1,547 m) Mount Lukens"

They had a stage in the Tour de California that finished going up Mt. Baldy. Looked pretty nasty, even for the (ahem) "enhanced" professional riders.

Is that near Garmisch? A friend of mine and I hiked to the edge of the bowl and peaked over. Turns out we were on a ledge of ice with no ground between us and about 1-2k ft. drop. most scared i'd ever been in my life.
