I think KB already mentioned it but 30 years of work divided by 5 mil =~160k a year. Pretty nice yearly salary. I guess if you factor in inflation 160k 20-30 years from now probably won't be nearly as good as it is now. Unless I bink a live mtt(which I play less than 5 a year), run REALLY good at poker, or make some risky business investments(unlikely) I doubt I break 5 mil in career earnings. That said, I live a non flashy life and have none of the motivation it takes to become disgustingly rich.

All stories about "x played on y's account" ended in someone being a degen or losing his red pro status...
That's because all the sucessful times aren't stories.

Well I just keep it simple and basically have like 5 categories:

Green : tight/passive
Yellow: loose/passive
Blue : loose/tight (25/15 type players)
Orange : tight/aggressive
Red : loose/aggressive

Well you don't hear about the other 99% since it never ends in something remotely bad. I personally would never loan an account since it's against the T & C of a site and I'm super paranoid about getting my account banned. If it was allowed I wouldn't do it unless I was sitting right next to the person.

For SNGs i'd say you are best off using them to tag winning and losing players.

I use:
Color Skill
pink
awfully terrible
red
terrible
green
breakeven (slightly winning or slightly losing)
lightblue
slight winner with lots of leaks
blue
winning player with some leaks
darkblue
good winning player
purple
shark

ofc, but i'd say the "successful times" are not that noteworthy anyways and if they are you better don't post them on the interwebz (like "played on Joe Hachem's account and won the Sunday Million, ship it")

I was thinking Moon really thought he had QQ and misread his hand. Its funny - you're right about it being more embarrassing playing QQ that way than KQ, but judging how he played the other hands we could see, he was definitely capable of playing either hand that way.

Re: FD - this whole thing makes me sad. He seemed like a great guy, and was a great poker player for a while. GL in getting your money back Scotty.

Peru - GL with the house. Please post frequent trip reports

Or you let your roommate play the SM while you went to play soccer and he's somehow still in it when you get back.

RE: Moontard. HU AJs vs AQ(Cada). I can't decide if he really thought AJs was a "Moooooonster".

Close imo. Some twists and scenes are just perfect and def push some boundaries (like the airport), but the big downside is that the cinematic style limits your freedom. More than half of the game feels like a super highend version of VirtuaCop and that really kills the immersion imo.

It's still a damn good game.
11-11-2009 , 02:06 PM
I thought you were much less limited in this one than the previous MW. And yeah the airport scene was just like wtffffffffffffffffffff. I felt like I was playing a movie which was pretty damn cool.

All depends on if you're blowing/sucking properly imo.

Finally watched the WSOP FT this morning on the DVR, missed the HU portion, assuming there was one. Pretty much lost interest after Ivey exited, as there was just some really bad poker being played imo. And yeah, nothing against Moon, but no way I wanted to see someone win who gave grand new meaning to the term luckbox.

thats def true, but it still feels a lot like a railshooter and the times you have a little free choice about the route you wanna take you are still best off just following one of the main characters because the other route will most likely end with your face full of hot lead.

Color coded notes look sick so far, but can you only see player lists in main lobby for cash games, anyway to make this visible for tournys? Kinda lame if not.

And I still only have black and classic lobby themes :-(
11-11-2009 , 03:04 PM
D3 looks like you can do it from the tourney table. Just click notes, select a player and then click the colored box to choose a color.

I'm talking as far as table selection though, I want to be able to see from the main lobby if a table has 4 good players in it. At the cash games you can color code the big fish and just sift down through the tables til you see that color pop up, but tourneys don't show players in the main lobby.

Ah that would be sick. Except I'm a monkey and don't table select. I just load my set at the bottom of whatever tourneys are regging. That way I can just blame regs for loading on top of me.

And lolz CQ Michael Scott IMO

This is what I normally do too, but I would love to see when a table at 7/10 has 3 fish 3 unknowns and one reg.

i have to say that i enjoy watching darvin moon play. It's just hilarious like watching a guy running fullspeed into a streetsign.

I can think of a ton of others I'd rather play hu for the ME title than Moon. Naked aggression + you have no idea what hands he thinks are monsters 100bbs deep. Eventually you have to take a stand and hope this isn't the time he really has it.

I do not thinks its that rare, but a lot of males tend to leave things on the long finger until its too late to do anything about it.

I agree that a procedure like a colonoscopy should only be used if there is a genuine reason for it and after a referral from your GP/Doctor.

Yang and Gold were doing the same thing right? And to some extent Raymer altho I guess he thought about stuff more than the other three? Not that it's a surprise but aggression seems pretty good when other players are probably scared.

basically cada could have limped in a ton, waited to flop big hands and then hope darvin spewed... they were def deep enough and darvin defended a lot ands cada kept bloating pots with very marg hands, even with position that seemed pretty bad against Moon.

He didn't need to make the pots bigger when Moon was making stupidly big 3bets and ships on the flop (87 on t9xt board he made it 60 mil after cada bet 3 mil into 6 mil)
