Which games would be better at the micros? And how different are they? Satties 6m hypers on stars (starting with 10bb and antes) or the normal ones?

Would anyone know some good threads for microstakes / low stakes double or nothing sngs? Ideally six-max would be great, but I'll take anything I can get! Thanks.

Hi all, I used to be a winning grinder a few years back and I'm just getting back into playing here on the sites in Nevada. The sites are pretty small so I keep running into the same regulars and I'm noticing some pretty weird patterns in their play. I'm wondering what's changed in the years since I've been gone to make regulars do what I consider to be losing plays. Specifically I am seeing a lot of the following:

Reshoving low pocket pairs over short shoves (e.g. with 5 players left, UTG shoves 2.5BB then UTG+1 will reshove 15BB having 22 with 3 players left to act, all of whom effectively cover)

Open minraising a ton in the mid stages, almost a small-ballish approach, for example I'm sure a couple of the winningest players are open minraising all suited aces, all pairs, and all suited broadway from any position at 50/100 & 100/200, with or without antes.

Open completing the small blind a lot, even at high blinds.

I feel like all the players have all been reading from the same awful book and modeling their game on it.

So you used to be a winning player (interesting), now the field got worse (ok dude) because they all read the same awful book (solid conclusion).
What exactly is your question?

Wondering what peoples opinions are about the best STTs to build your bankroll. I'm starting again from the bottom after depositing $30 a month ago or so and have mostly been playing $1.50 9man hypers and the occasional 9man turbo ko. Last few days though I have been playing several 6max hypers and have had decent success with them (upswing woo!) So yeah just wondering what games people think are best for building up. Any advice is appreciated

Don't player hypers with a tiny bankroll if you're serious about building it!

I mean you'd wanna play you have better numbers at, since you don't have a big sample of games just play whatever you consider yourself best at / enjoy the most

Btw such simple things should be posted in the beginner's thread (where this will be moved at some point) and can also be answered by a search on the forum usually as well

Will someone please help me interpret this graph? It is of only 1+.10 stts on Bovada. My conclusion is that I'm running about 14 BIs under expected EV, which is most likely a result of getting it in good then losing at showdown. Is this about what one would infer from this graph or am I way off? Thanks!

mehm, uncheck "Display All-in Equity" and instead check "Overlay Net Adjusted".

Keep in mind that 200 games is too few to say much, no matter what the graph looks like.

^^That result mirrors my winnings but is about $2 higher. So essentially I'm running only 2 BIs under expected EV?

Also, I read in another thread that the best graph of one's decisions is all-in equity displayed in chips won. What do you think about that?

Thanks for your help!

I have both SitnGo Wizard and integrated SitnGO Wizard 2 in HM2. I have trouble to review a tournament in both.

In both I don't have HM2 stats so I have so click trough the same hands in HM to get these stats which makes it a slow and time consuming way of reviewing.

Anyone got tips for this? I read something about WizHUD but that doesn't work for HM2.

It depends on the details of the situation. Email stars support and tell them what happened and they'll help you out if they can.

Sounds right. Technically it's not actual "EV", it's your winnings adjusted by measuring your luck in all-in hands. So don't think of it as your representing your EV until you have thousands of games.

I'm not familiar with the thread. I think knowing how you play hands (decisions) is better determined by posting hands and asking for feedback, especially when you haven't played thousands of them. As for gleaning info about your play from chip-EV versus $EV, it depends on the specifics of what you're looking at. If you're just looking at overall EV for all STT tournaments played, $EV will be a better indication (assuming you have enough games played).

You might check your spam folder because they are usually responsive in my experience and from what I hear.

nothing in there as well

i provided the logs over a month ago and explicitly asked about it one week ago that im still waiting for an answer.
i think most likely its a routing problem from my provider so its pokerstars job to check the logs and identify the problem so i can take action.

Full Tilt, 40/80 blinds No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 5 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #25321551

    BTN: 205 (2.6 bb)
    SB: 610 (7.6 bb)
    Hero (BB): 1,200 (15 bb)
    MP: 300 (3.8 bb)
    CO: 385 (4.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8 6
MP raises to 300 and is all-in, CO raises to 385 and is all-in, 2 folds, Hero calls 305

    Flop: (1,110) 5 8 A (3 players, 2 are all-in)
    Turn: (1,110) 6 (3 players, 2 are all-in)
    River: (1,110) 9 (3 players, 2 are all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: 1,110 pot
    Final Board: 5 8 A 6 9
    Hero showed 8 6 and won 1,110 (725 net)
MP showed Q Q and lost (-300 net)
CO showed T K and lost (-385 net)

Get the Flash Player to use the Hold'em Manager Replayer.

The tournament is an 15 FTP points hyper, that I and everyone uses for rakeback: not much leveling or whatever going on.

I think I should call here because I get 2:1 (or better) for my money and I have suited connectors (with both cards being most probably live and mid range). However: sitngo wizard says I shouldn't call (push 31%, fold 34%). Who's right?

    Thanks!

Hi, I'm looking to grind STTs (turbos and non-turbos) and wondering how many buy-ins people are using for micro/low stakes nowadays?

A lot of the recent information I've found is focused on hypers. The STT FAQ recommends 100 buy-ins. I've also seen anywhere from 50, 65, to 125 on different forums, websites, etc. 125/100 seem like a lot to me, while 50/65 seems like too little, but then again I'm totally unfamiliar with these games.

Anyways, hoping somebody can give be a general idea of what is necessary in today's games for the STT format. Thanks in advance!

[QUOTE=huesos;42688730]Hi, I'm looking to grind STTs (turbos and non-turbos)

Hi I play a few stt turbos and currently have 30 buy ins. I Find as I have half a brain. I dont think ill ever go bust. Varience aint that high as long as you dont play too wild. No need to so many bad players can almost fold into money most of the time.

That seems like way too few buy-ins to me. While downswings will be nothing like mttsngs they definitely will happen.

I think you also need a upper level as well as a lower level. Maybe say 40 buy in as min and 60 as max maybe before moving up or down depending on the swing.

Hi guys, I'm trying to make my "Last attempt to online poker" since when I started to play. Till now I managed only to beat microstakes at cash games, but I found out that I mostly enjoy sit and goes.

I'm now approaching for my last time 6 max hypers, I'm recording every session.

    this is my last session

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMYitEB2NqY

Can you please comment with the biggest leaks that you are finding out watching the video? please

Till now, everyone mostly told me that i should avoid to Openshove in BVB from SB agaist BB with big aces (AT+) if we are in the initial stages (20bb+).

    Thank you in advance

Hi, i'm wondering if it's possible to beat the limits and build a bankroll at 0,5-1€ STT fr normal or turbo on pokerstars.it with this situation:
    -20% rake
-3 to 4 regulars on most of the tables
    -NO rakeback

Is it possible to play with profit or should i find a way to play on .com?
