Am I the only one who hates this sched? For me as a lower midstakes reg there's no more than 6 MTTs that actually make me look forward to this. Bring on SCOOP already

Just as a quick note: That $320 progressive knockout today has to be the most amazingly fun tourney I've ever played. There's a huge sweat element to every allin simply because you know "if this holds i get xxx $", the prizepool is superflat which is great for economy, there's still almost 100k up top...

GRRRREAT!

TCOOP 29 registration is closed, but payouts are nowhere! For once BryanPS, do your job, fix this ASAP and be responsive!

TCOOP 29 was supposed to have a max of 1000 entrants, ie start with 1000 tables of ten, but the cap didn't work, and there are 1042 players registered, starting on 1000 tables.

And if you click to bring up the tournament info, it seems that it's a final table only payout, although payout that doesn't appear in the front of the tourney lobby. Don't know if it was always intended to be like that, or whether it has reverted to that as a default because there are more entrants actually registered than was originally allowed for in the payout table.

Yeh also said it's 1000 cap and yet there are 1042 in it and 21 heads up matches going on right now. Which is pretty annoying when i just wanted to play this bust and get on with some things.

Tnx for the info. Just noticed the max entrants, weird. Would at least be good if a Stars rep came in ASAP to confirm if 10 or 100 players are payed, pretty relevant while playing. I've played shootouts with 10% payed, so really not sure.

Satties caused the runners to go above 1000. They made an error there.

I guess they are playing with the numbers to get the payouts right because there is no default payout for above 1000 runners. I imagine they have no choice but to pay top 100.

There is a technical issue with TCOOP 29 that resulted in more registrants than the published and configured player cap. This has resulted in a few problems:
  • There were 84 players who played heads-up in an additional round, while others waited
  • The payout structure is not listed in the main tournament lobby
  • The payout table listed in the 'tournament info' tab shows that only 10 places will be paid

We will be refunding the full buy-in for the 42 players who busted in the initial, extra heads-up round, as they had reason to expect full ring play in the first round of the tournament due to the published player cap.

We are reviewing the implications of this unexpected situation to determine if there is any blocker to playing the tournament out as normal and paying out the planned 100-player payout structure. If we find no technical blocker, we will communicate the payout structure on the tables to all players in the tournament and make manual account adjustments as necessary to ensure that the top 100 players end up receiving the proper payout amount.

Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Surely the cap should still enforce the max, even if satties are still running. Seat winners from those satties should get T$ and an apology that the target is full. Otherwise that's a pretty big programming error.

Just a little thing, I also noticed that the lobby only says shootout, but normally it says "triple" shootout, emphasising that you need to play through three rounds. Wonder if someone forgot to limit the number of rounds, which then overruled the max.

That's how it works with satties in general indeed. I've been refunded T$ when target is full. Registration was closed after 1k entries, but apperantly something went wrong with some satties.

Fair solution and nice of Stars to drop $8k though!

I can confirm that we expect to be able to complete the tournament and will pay out the top 100 places. We will communicate the pay structure to players via on-table messaging and manually adjust account balances after bust-out to ensure players are rewarded properly.

Additionally, we will soon credit players who finished in places 1001-1042 with a full refund of their $215 buy-in. The players who knocked them out will be able to keep their bounties, and their buy-ins will remain in the prize pool.

Stars always makes it right. Good job on meeting the expectations of your players!

As far as the schedule goes, I think a 2 or 3 level buy ins (just like SCOOP) would be better and attract more players (although it's not the best time of the year)

just my 2c

pokerstars event/*coop satelite schedule guys, you get a gold star for consistency because you consistently dont do a good job with the "big day" schedules

instead of some sort of template for what works you guys just do something different every coop, how is that

1x/2x/3xt sat offerings were too lighly scheduled/spaced and stopped too early.

Thanks for nothing, again

as far as 2x/3xt sats that ended during late reg for the target event you scheduled what... 1/3 of the # that ran last year at that same time?

( i saw 11 running that will end after start time, with start times across 1.5 hours apart from one another, are you guys real?)

so ya basically thanks for making this sunday a good day to quit early and get ready for the superbowl

looking at the buyins on paper it seemed quite small, but after playing through the series I think it was a good range. Any higher would of ended up being quite expensive for a turbo series.
