I find his recent signing kind of funny...In his shoot interviews in 2013 (one SmartMark and one YouShoot or KayfabeCommentaries) he said that he couldn't lose weight due to medical reasons and had given up all hope on WWE. It was quite sad. Happy he's made it.

Just about literally ran into Roman Reigns the other day in Tampa. I'm walking around taking a few calls before my flight to MSP, turn around and he and Sheamus are standing in the middle of the next gate area waiting to head out to Detroit. They were hanging with Justin Gabriel, one of the Usos, Naomi and Rosa Mendes. I'm too old to be a total fanboy, but Roman and Sheamus were cool enough to say hi and chat for a minute before I felt like I was intruding. Swagger pulled the shades and looked like he was not in a mood to talk, so that kinda sucked, but we all hate flying, so hey.

Bunch of them headed to Detroit on the way to Des Moines, but then on my plane was none other than Bo Dallas, all by himself. Must have gotten screwed by the travel agent.

I saw that. I didn't post it because that is something I refuse to believe until I see it.

The scary thing is that it actually makes sense. They have recent history because they never officially had their match at the RR and Big Show is the perfect guy for Lesnar to squash and continue looking like a beast.

Well he destroyed Mark Henry a couple months ago. Perhaps we can just get Lesnar vs Show/Henry and whoever pins Lesnar is champ? or whichever guy Lesnar pins can never wrestle or wear a diaper again?

Agreed that Big Show makes the most logical sense. Big downside is that no one will give two ****s about it as a main event feud.

I think working with Lensar probably plays to Show's strengths more than anybody else, but still, **** that guy. The only way this is good is if he means his slow ass is gone for good.

Assuming that Lesnar is surviving Cena this month, the Big Show thing would I'm sure just be a one-month stop-gap to get us to Survivor Series, where Lesnar will face <I have no ****ing idea>.

big show is the perfect filler feud, nothing wrong with that.

between show and wrestlemania they are drawing pretty thin but i actually think sheamus would be a decent option. good size and somewhat credible as a challenger/potential champion.

Sheamus would work well as a minor PPV challenger I think. He's a reach as a credible guy to give a shot at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble. They really just don't have a ton of places to go with this without a surprise Daniel Bryan return coming soon. I'd love it if they made Reigns the Survivor Series opponent, since he's at least positioned to slot into a big main event at this point and would likely lose if that's where they give him the title shot.

Can we stop pretending that Survivor Series is still important?

It's only important inasmuch as they act like it is, and my impression is that it's still a PPV that they'll use other PPV's to build towards.

They still build it and book it as a bigger deal than other non-majors as far as I know. Granted that it's clearly 4th place of the big 4, but still.

(Admittedly, last year looks pretty indistinguishable from a minor show, but I'm unconvinced that the company views it as one just based on that.)

I fail to see how Survivor Series is a bigger deal than MITB at a minimum.

When I looked up last year's Survivor Series it doesn't even ring a bell as a card I remember happening. I guess that's the effect of football season.

The opening match is pretty great. (Roman works so much better as a heel than he does now as a face, which is dumb, because there's nothing so heelish abou this being a heel that he needed to change anything) I would have paid a PPV price just to watch the bull**** assed 619 get the crushing it deserved.

Punk and Bryan vs Wyatts was pretty good as well. (although man, Punk's GTS to end that match = should have called an audible and done it again because yuck).

I'd much rather see Mark Henry against Lesnar than Big Show. At least you can build up Henry as a badass that may have a chance. You cant do that with Big Show - he has too much crying, whining and comedy in his recent TV past
