heh actually meant contentious but then worked backwards =P

I guess I've just read multiple sources all with the exact same story, and for a story that makes the WWE look at least a little bad, I would expect some kind of retort if the story was incorrect.

This is a bit different to the usual rumour mill stuff imo.

I'm like the first guy to get outraged by racism and bigotry, but I don't really think that matters here. You don't hit people. You don't respond with violence, and I think that's probably a message that's even more important in a company that does so much with play violence.

Regardless of what they do to the guy that angered Del Rio, the WWE still has some obvious issues with race and should be held to the fire for that.

I dunno, if I think of a scenario where that rumor gets floated and is false, I wouldn't think that WWE would want to publicly acknowledge it and act like it's even a legitimate conversation. When dealing with stuff that can be legit bad PR, I'm pretty sure I'd leave it buried amongst small-time publications that only get readership from people who aren't going to actually stop watching (in significant numbers) anyway.

If ADR or an actual spokesman of ADR said it publicly and attached their name to it, that's the point when I would think there was more meat to it and where I would expect WWE to actually react.

I mean don't get me wrong, I don't put this type of thing by them at all, but I'm just not quick to believe stuff from anonymous sources.

The WWE twitter account basically confirmed it happened.

Confirmed that an altercation happened. And by the way, I'll definitely pile on WWE for that ridiculously unprofessional display of ripping on ADR on Twitter. That's absurd.

I still don't know that I buy the racial conflict angle without actually hearing it at least alleged by a party who was involved.
Wrestling- NVG (SPOILERS inside view at your own risk) Quote

That's true. The twitter responses were replying to people sticking up for ADR being discriminated against but I do agree with your point that it's not worth the WWE acknowledging when it's really only dirtsheets and tabloids reporting on it.

ADR has talked so much **** to the media that hasn't been true before that even if he did come out with a statement, I wouldn't take it as gospel. ADR is well known for being an *** hole himself. The word is that he wasn't very well liked backstage either.

On Cheap Heat yesterday Mark Henry said the locker room loved ADR. ( but he seems to be a guy who takes the company/not controversial line on things )

Yeah I hadn't heard anything negative about ADR really. Which doesn't mean it isn't out there, but Kabong's post was just the first I saw anything like that be said.

I mean, I'm just going off dirt sheet reports but apparently when he debuted he was arrogant towards most people backstage and thought he should be treated as a main eventer. He was almost instantly pushed to the main event anyway so you can't blame him if those reports were true.

Heard Daniel Bryan on the Sam Roberts show recently. Said doctors are back and forth of whether or not he needs another surgery, and if he does, it'll be at least 3 more months until he's back. Sam asked him if he thought his career was over and he answered with he could see why it could be but sees no reason why it should be. If you have Sirius/xm you can go back and listen to it.

Not a huge spoiler or anything but Bork is gonna be carrying around one belt as the WWE officially transitions to the new logo. Thank god.

Bootista may be returning for Night of Champions. WWE may want to make this event their 2nd biggest, because it falls in line with when most people's subscriptions will run out (those who signed up for the network just before WM30)

Bootista coming back and once again demanding his one on one title shot could be a thing. He'd have to agree to get squashed by Bork tho.

I don't really know how you swing this, because you can't go full face, but if you need somebody credible to feed to Brock, Randy is still owed a title shot. I could kinda see it as the Authority almost doing to to Randy to punish him for losing to Roman, and given that Brock will have some weird face heat, you could do a tweenerish squash. Have Roman face Bautista/Bray/Rusev next or something.

Ok so how about this:
-Authority gets together with Heyman. Your guy is awesome. We share common enemies. You're a great champion. Whatever.
-Rollins is written as happy, but ultimately conflicted that he can't really cash in since the champ is on his team. Have H tell him he's part of the winning team, so what if he's not #1, and he should be happy for that.
-Rollins and Ambrose continue to feud and at the end of a match, corporate Brock comes out and pummels Ambrose to the point that Rollins expresses sympathy for him
-Meanwhile, build Reigns as strong enough to challenge Brock. Maybe not win, but a realistic challenge.
-At a big PPV, Reigns gets his shot and gets beat, but Seth and Rollins appear, the band gets back together and takes out Brock. Seth Cashes and Wins.

It leaves us with a weaker-than-usual champion, but gives us back the Shield and allows a credible threat to Mega-Brock.

I think you've gotta wait like years to reform The Shield imo.

I can see them doing somewhere with Brock just takes HHH's money and gives the belts away. He's a merc, right? They maybe have a sham of a match where Brock tries to lay down for Seth, Dean runs in, he fights Brock and gets just enough offense in to seem credible and they set up a match because he hurt Brock and now Brock is angry- then wins a mega upset and becomes champion of the world because of <3.

The authority has created a monster not even they can control. Kind of like there are faces and heels like the NWO beat up. Nobody can stop him. The threat to the entire WWE is so big that faces and heels have to occasionally stand together against him. Maybe even a couple of guys "defect" or are brought in. Hey man wants to control the entire WWE.

There's a non zero percent chance that they reform 'Team Lesnar'.

I for one would welcome the return of 'Australia's most dangerous prison inmate'.

In the hype video, Heyman says the only reason Lesnar came back was to win the belts. So 0 chance he just gives them up.

Apparently on WWE.com HHH announced a rematch between Cena and Brock. That's quite the forum to do it at, the day after RAW.

Spoiler:

I am not a fan of this booking. Cena didn't even look like he belonged in the same promotion as Brock. I get it as far as trying to get people to renew but idk, it's not changing my mind lol. I have this sick feeling Cena will win. At least it's good to have anticipation for a match again because nobody really knows who's going over. I'd honestly just love to see a complete Cena burial.

I agree that it's a bad road to go down here. They really should have shelved Cena for a month or two following that SummerSlam massacre.

Yeah, also have a very bad feeling that the reason Cena got squashed is so he can overcome the odds and beat Lesnar in the rematch.

If Lesnar just squashes him again that would be GOAT though.

This this this.

Whomever challenges Bork (seriously, not just someone sent to job next PPV or whatever) needs to be credible. If you want that to be Cena, you need to give him time to "Rocky montage" his way to standing a chance. You can't just run him out there again and have it be anything but another squash, which at this point does nothing.

the reaction ITT is precisely why cena rematch is the correct booking. there's literally no other challenger they could put that would be credible and is a no win scenario that either makes bork look weak or squashes the challenger. cena can withstand a squash and cena is a credible challenger who smarks actually believe may win cuz lolcenawins
