I think people chanting Larry became a gimmick though because Zybysko would turn around and do his horrible response to the crowd. The people chanting only knew he was cool enough to be in the booth and would acknowledge them. It is like asking a truck driver to blow his horn. You still think he is awful.

The thing with the 6 PPV per year, it only makes sense if they get more than double the buys (they do 14 now iirc). You also dont get to spread your risk so poor performing PPVs hurt a lot more.

In principle i agree, it probably would increase the quality. However i suspect from the bottom line it just doesnt make sense. Kinda like how the WWE did HUGE viewing figures for Raw back in the attitude era yet their profits were tiny compared to today. The quality of product isnt that important to the business model.

And as usual this all loops in to zero competition creates zero downside. They can phone it in most of the year, make sure to get big buys at WM and then make up the difference with merch sales and various other revenue streams.

They could bank an extra $3.5 million a year just by not making Randy Orton movies.

Ultimo Dragon was a sicko,his debut in wcw carrying (i believe) 9 titles from japan was incredible, his matches with RMJ when Rey was coming up were awesome.

I had high hopes for the war games match between Sting/Luger/Arn/Flair vs NWO, but the Sting angle (bringing in fake Sting as NWO 4th, and real Sting showed up for like 10 seconds) kinda killed the match.
Then it became a bigger joke the next year just because Mongo was involved.

Not sure how this hasn't been mentioned yet, Kurt Angle joined immortal.
Solid booking by TNA, a month ago he HELPS Sting regain the title against Anderson, AN IMMORTAL MEMBER, so he can turn against Sting at the PPV and join immortal himself, I guess TNA tried to cover this up by having immortal members pretty much kick Anderson out of the group this past Thursday????????

FWIW, I don't think HHH buried Christian at all; he was actually being pretty straight up with him. Christian is terrified of Orton, and is doing anything to weasel his way out of the match. Basically, Christian is acting like a huge vagina right now and HHH called him out on it.
